Image
Lotus is introducing a new member to the Evora lineup with the GT410, designed to be more usable and practical than the GT410 Sport. The road-focused new Lotus Evora GT410 features Sparco sports seats, air-conditioning, a new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and DAB digital radio, cruise control, heated seats, rear parking sensors, as well as increased insulation for less road noise and better refinement as standard. In addition, the cabin of the new Evora GT410 also comes with new door trims that now have integrated arm rests and storage bins, offering a more welcoming environment to drivers wishing to daily drive the latest Lotus sports car. There’s also a new tailgate with a larger glass section for better rear visibility. Compared to the GT410 Sport, the new Evora variant sits on revised dampers for a more compliant ride while retaining the iconic Lotus handling character. Exterior changes include 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch at the rear shod in Micheli

It’s Official: Hummer Is Coming Back As 1,000 HP Electric Pickup From GMC

Image
After months of rumors and speculation, General Motors has confirmed Hummer is making a comeback. The company is keeping details under wraps, but the first new Hummer will be an electric pickup with 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1,014 PS) and 11,500 lb-ft (15,574 Nm) of torque. This will enable the model to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just three seconds. The model is dubbed the “GMC Hummer EV” and it will be officially unveiled on May 20th. In the meantime, the company released a teaser image which shows the model will have a slender six slot grille and LED headlights.  Further below, we can see a rugged front bumper and offset GMC badging. Additional details are hard to make out, but there’s sculpted hood and squared off mirrors.  The model also appears to have the roof-mounted lights just the iconic H2. Besides the teaser image, GMC announced plans to feature the pickup in a Super Bowl commercial called “Quiet Revolution.”  The 30 second spot will air during the second quarte

New 2020 Seat Leon: Long Story Short, A Golf Mk8 With Personality

Image
Volkswagen might have played it safe with the 2020 Golf Mk8, but Seat is here to spice things up with the all-new Leon. Looking even better than its predecessor, the redesigned Leon has a bold front fascia with an upright grille that is flanked by slender LED headlights featuring distinctive daytime running lights. Further below, there are sporty air intakes and horizontal fog lights. The dynamic styling continues further back as the Leon has a sculpted hood and flowing bodywork. The latter features pronounced fenders and strong character lines. Elsewhere, the Leon has a rakish windscreen and a gently sloping roof which meets a tailgate-mounted spoiler. The model also has a dynamic greenhouse and a sporty rear end with slender taillights that are connected by a thin illuminated strip. Overall, the hatchback measures 172 inches (4,368 mm) long, 70.9 inches (1,800 mm) wide and 57.3 inches (1,456 mm) tall with a wheelbase that spans 105.7 inches (2,686 mm). This means the

2020 Genesis GV80 Fully Revealed In Korea, Coming To America This Year

Image
The 2020 Genesis GV80 has arrived as the company’s first-ever SUV after weeks of leaks and teasers. It joins the G70, G80, and G90 in the company’s current range. Genesis offered the world a glimpse of the GV80 with the launch of a concept back in 2017. Much to the surprise of many, the production-spec SUV remains quite faithful to the design of the concept. Viewed from the front, it’s impossible to ignore the triangular-shaped front grille and the ‘Quad Lamps’ of the concept, albeit enlarged for the production model. The Korean company says the design of the SUV’s front fascia has been inspired by the shape of the company’s logo. Spin around to the side of the GV80 and other striking parts include a large piece of trim on the front wheel arches as well as a pair of sharp lines stretching along the doors and continuing through to the flanks of the SUV. Pointed rear side windows like the concept are also particularly striking as are the 22-inch wheels. At the rear, the GV80

2021 GMC Yukon Is All-New From The Ground Up, Gains Rugged AT4 Variant

Image
Crossovers might be selling like hotcakes, but GMC is committed to full-size SUVs and they’re showing that resolve by unveiling the all-new Yukon and Yukon XL. Set to go on sale later this year, the Yukon is instantly recognizable as it’s front fascia closely echoes the Sierra. Just like the pickup, the SUV features a prominent grille which is flanked by C-shaped headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. Further below, there are vertical fog lights and a more aerodynamic front bumper. Continuing to the rear, the Yukon has an evolutionary body with more prominent character lines. The model also adopts a rakish C-pillar, sculpted doors and a relatively flat roof.  To help distinguish it from the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, designers added L-shaped taillights which mimic those on the Arcadia. While the models look pretty familiar, they’ve grown in size. The standard Yukon is 6.1 inches (155 mm) longer and gains a 4.9 inch (124 mm) larger wheelbase. Thanks to the

2020 Toyota GR Yaris Is A 257HP AWD Rally-Bred Hot Hatch For The Road

Image
Toyota have really outdone themselves with the new GR Yaris, a subcompact hot hatch with state-of-the-art engineering and power levels that broke cover at the 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon. Positioned against the Ford Fiesta ST, Renault Clio RS and Volkswagen Polo GTI in terms of size, the Japanese supermini is way more powerful and adds something its rivals lack: an all-wheel drive system. How was this possible? By combining the front end of the GA-B platform that debuted in the new-gen Yaris with the rear of the GA-C architecture. This allows the implementation of the all-wheel drive system, as well as a new suspension design, with double wishbone set-up, front strut system and rear torsion beam. Stopping power comes from the 356 mm (14 in) ventilated front discs with four-piston calipers and 297 mm (11.7 in) ventilated rear discs with two-pot calipers. Powering the GR Yaris is the 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder that produces 261 PS (257 hp / 192 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft)

Aston Martin V12 Speedster Teased, Production Capped At 88 Units Worldwide

Image
Not willing to let McLaren and Ferrari have all of the fun, Aston Martin has just announced a limited-edition Speedster of its own, aptly dubbed the ‘V12 Speedster.’ The car, teased through a single sketch, has been created by the British brand’s in-house bespoke service Q by Aston Martin and features a design reminiscent of the 1959 Le Mans-winning DBR1 and the CC100 Speedster Concept from 2013. Powering the Aston Martin V12 Speedster will be the company’s flagship 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that will produce “around” 690 hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. Interestingly, both of those figures are less than what the DBS Superleggera pumps out. The V12 Speedster will be rear-wheel drive and feature a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. While the limited-edition model, capped at just 88 units globally, won’t be the fastest or most powerful Aston Martin available, the lack of a roof will mean owners get to enjoy the twin-turbocharged V12 engine in all its glory.

Sony Just Unveiled An Electric Car Named Vision-S Concept At CES 2020

Image
Sony has shocked the world at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES), unveiling an all-electric concept car dubbed the Vision-S. The vehicle has been created to showcase the technology company’s efforts in the area of mobility. It features no less than 33 sensors including CMOS image sensors, Solid State LiDAR, and radar embedded across the exterior that allow it to detect and recognize people and objects outside the vehicle. Inside, the Vision-S includes Time of Flight (ToF) sensors that can detect people and objects inside the car. Sony claims the vehicle is good for Level 2 autonomy. Sony’s Vision-S continues its technology-focused theme in the cabin thanks to a set of large infotainment screens behind the headrests of both front seats as well as a panoramic touchscreen display stretching the width of the dashboard. There are also dedicated displays that provide a live view of what the wing-mounted cameras see in real-time, similar to the design of the Honda e. Another

Mercedes-Benz’ Avatar-Inspired Vision AVTR Brings Man, Machine, And Nature Together As One

Image
Daimler has just announced its futuristic Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES), created thanks to a newly-announced partnership with the Avatar movie franchise. The show car has been designed to “spark the imagination” of what cars in the future could be. The vehicle pays particular attention to the connection between man, machine, and nature, much like the symbotic relationship between the Na’vi people on Pandora from Avatar (and its forthcoming sequels). All it takes is a quick look at the Vision AVTR to understand that it’s not like any vehicle currently on sale. For starters, there are absolutely no traditional car controls and instead, ‘drivers’ simply place their hand on an illuminated controller in the center console that measures various biometrics including your pulse. The rest of the interior flows around occupants and opens them up to the outside world thanks in particular to the presence of distinct accent lighting and sculptura

2022 Fisker Ocean Has Promising Debut At CES, Is Still Two Years Away

Image
Fisker’s long-awaited Ocean electric luxury SUV has finally made its world debut at CES 2020, but that doesn’t mean we’ll get to see it on our roads anytime soon. Following a business model pioneered by Tesla, Fisker is first showing people the vehicle in the hope of getting enough deposits and investments to start production. Initially, Fisker announced an all-inclusive lease model, but has now added a full purchase option too. In the United States, customers need to pay a $250 reservation fee for either the full purchase option or the flexible lease program. For those who want to take full ownership of the vehicle, prices will start at $37,499 – or $29,999 after the available $7,500 U.S. federal tax credit is applied. That’s a very competitive price but the flexible lease model is even more enticing. Drivers can get behind the wheel of the Fisker Ocean from $379 a month, with $2,999 down before delivery in 2022 (which includes both initiation and activation fees). For cre

FCA’s Airflow Vision Concept Is The Luxury Crossover Chrysler Needs

Image
The Chrysler Airflow was decades ahead of its time as the model was one of the first vehicles to be designed with aerodynamics in mind. While the car was a flop, FCA is dusting off the moniker for use on the new Airflow Vision concept. Billed as the next-generation of premium transportation, the Airflow Vision was designed to appeal to customers who want a first-class travel experience and a high-tech interior. The concept is loosely based on the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, but it adopts a more dynamic exterior that “hints at the future of premium design.” Minivan styling cues have been dropped and overall design is closer to a crossover. Up front, there are slender LED headlights which reside above a slim grille. Further below, there’s an aerodynamic fascia which flows into the front fenders. Continuing further back, there’s a rakish windscreen and a gently sloping roof. The model also lacks doors and has unique wheels that draw inspiration from the “mechanical ele

New Lamborghini Huracan EVO RWD Brings Back The Driving Fun

Image
A year on from the debut of the re-styled and re-engineered Huracan EVO and Lamborghini has officially presented a new rear-wheel drive derivative, aptly named the Huracan EVO Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD). Not the dandiest of names, especially for an Italian supercar, but Lamborghini promises to “put the driver at the center of the driving experience”, much like its predecessors, the 2009 Gallardo LP 550-2 that re-introduced RWD to Lamborghini’s range after a decade or so, and the original Huracan before it. “The Huracán EVO rear-wheel drive puts the car in the driver’s hands: the driving experience is delivered by the hardware,” says Lamborghini CEO, Stefano Domenicali. “This car reminds the driver of Lamborghini’s pure engineering origins: the driver is at the center of the Huracán EVO RWD’s performance, with unfiltered feedback and an emotive and more engaging driving experience controlled by the pilot.” Power comes from a de-tuned version of the all-wheel drive Huracan EVO’s,
