Cadillac ATS & CTS Receive Key Refinements For 2017

Image
By upgrading their styling, technology and even their trim levels, Cadillac are hoping to further emphasize that both the ATS and CTS belong in the same conversation as their all-new CT6 sedan and XT5 crossover. Starting with the trim levels, customers will now be able to choose between ATS, Luxury, Premium Luxury and Premium Performance models when it comes to either the ATS sedan or the coupe. As for CTS buyers, they'll be looking at CTS, Luxury, Premium Luxury, V-Sport and V-Sport Premium trims, which is more in line with the previously mentioned CT6 and XT5 models. After revealing the  Black Chrome packages  for both models back in March, now Cadillac is introducing the Carbon Black sport package, featuring two new exterior colors, new wheels plus additional enhancements for the CUE infotainment system. Speaking of which, Cadillac CUE (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G LTE Wi-Fi) is now standard for 2017 ATS Sedans and Coupe models, as the 2017 ATS Turbo Sedan becomes the entr

New Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster Caught For The First Time

Image
We suspected it was coming and now, after  Mercedes-AMG  boss, Tobias Moers, confirmed the launch of a GT Roadster earlier this week, a camouflaged tester of the open-top supercar was spied on the German Autobahn. The person who nabbed the AMG GT Roadster says it was travelling together with the 911 Convertible seen in front, which if true, means Mercedes was benchmarking it against the Porsche. From what we can decipher from the pictures, there’s no SL-style trick folding hardtop here, just a traditional canvas roof, which aside from helping further distance the two cars from each other, should also help keep the weight down, which is essential to a pure sports car like the AMG GT. The Roadster also gets a newly designed boot lid that incorporates a third brake light.  We should see the Roadster retaining the  GT and GT S’ 4.0-liter  twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 456hp and 503hp respectively, but we wouldn’t rule out a more extreme version based on one of the upcoming model

Jeremy Clarkson reveals logo for The Grand Tour

Image
It may have taken the trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May a  long time to name  their new Amazon show, but the gang did a good job with  The Grand Tour . As outlined by a  previous tweet from Clarkson , the name fits the show as the ex- Top Gear  hosts will be traveling from place to place to shoot episodes. Now, the team has decided on a logo, which looks like something straight out of the '80s. Clarkson  took to Twitter  to reveal the white, orange, and black logo, which definitely has a nostalgic flair to it. In light of  all of the hoopla circling   Top Gear , in both the UK  and U.S. , it's a perfect time as any to reveal the logo. The Amazon Prime series is set to debut in August with filming for the first episode  set to tape  on July 17 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

2017 Porsche Panamera Revealed

Image
Porsche says it systematically improved the Panamera concept redeveloping and redesigning it “down to the last detail” as it goes after a wide variety of luxury saloons, from the Mercedes-Benz S-Class to the Maserati Quattroporte.  Porsche strongly hinted at what it had in store for the  new G2-codenamed Panamera  as early as 2012 with the  Sport Turismo Concept , a study that also previewed an upcoming addition to the family,  a shooting-brake style estate  that will launch sometime within the next 18 months.  While still recognizable as a scion of the first Panamera that came to life in 2009, the new liftback-style saloon has a sportier silhouette that’s aided by a more coupe-like roofline that reduces the height above the rear passenger compartment by 20mm (0.8 in.) and a 30mm (1.2 in.) longer wheelbase to eliminate the previous model’s hunchback styling and awkward proportions. Together with the shorter front overhangs and sharper styling details, including the front and rear li
