Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Pro+ and RS unveiled with 5nm chipsets, amazing camera setups

The Mate 40 Pro models are finally official and they were well worth the wait. They will try to muscle their way to top of “best camera” charts with their revised hardware co-developed with Leica. But other elements of the phones have received arguably even bigger upgrades. Still, we want to start with the camera on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro 5G. Huawei has a new 1/1.28” main sensor, which along with the P40 models is the largest on the market. However, resolution has been increased to 50MP (up from 40MP) while maintaining the omnidirectional autofocus and f/1.9 lens with optical image stabilization (OIS). The pixel size is 1.22ยต, which doubles when binning is enabled. The main camera is capable of shooting 4K video at 60 fps as well as slow motion clips at 1080p resolution and 480 fps. And you can practically stop time with 3,840 fps mode, which records at 720p resolution. The selfie camera is quite adept at video capture too, it can do 4K/60 videos and 1080p/240 slow-mo clips, but we’ll

Hummer Returns As A 1,000 HP Electric Pickup From GMC

Image
Nearly a decade after the last Hummer rolled off the assembly line, the brand is back and more powerful than ever. Introduced earlier, the 2022 GMC Hummer EV marks the return of an icon and a glimpse into GM’s electric future. Looking far more streamlined than previous models, the GMC Hummer EV features a minimalist grille which is flanked by slender LED headlights. However, they’re largely an afterthought as the front end is dominated by a massive bumper and skid plate which hint at the model’s off-road prowess. Continuing further back, we can see pronounced fender flares and a short windscreen.  The model also has a relatively flat roof with removal panels that allow for a truly open-air experience. The panels are transparent and can be stored in the frunk when removed.  While the windshield doesn’t fold down like on the Jeep Gladiator, the rear window can be electronically lowered. Out back, there’s LED taillights and a heavy duty bumper with D-rings.  The model also has a six-posit

Consumers have an insatiable appetite for crossovers and Volkswagen is responding by introducing the 2022 Taos. Designed to slot beneath the Tiguan, the Taos is a compact crossover that is “small in stature, but big on value.” While the model looks a little plain, it features a wide grille and sweptback headlights. Higher end variants go a step further as they feature LED lights which extend into the grille via an illuminated light bar. Elsewhere, designers installed sporty skid plates and plastic body cladding. The Taos also has squared off wheel arches and a greenhouse which closely resembles the Tiguan. Out back, there’s an angled liftgate with an integrated spoiler. We can also see wraparound taillights and faux dual exhaust system. Eight different colors will be available and wheels range in sizes from 17- to 19-inches. In terms of size, the Taos measures 175.8 inches (4,465 mm) long, 72.5 inches (1,842 mm) wide and 64.4 inches (1,636 mm) tall with a wheelbase that spans 105.9 inc
