Peugeot Has Three World Premieres For Geneva

Following a nearly 5 percent increase in sales last year, Peugeot continues on its path in 2016, heading to Geneva with three new vehicles premieres.

Unveiled just hours ago, the "new" 2008 has received a subtle makeup, three years after its official presentation. Peugeot will offer the facelifted compact model in four versions, Access, Active and Allure, complemented by the GT Line. The new trim is already available on the 208, 308 and 508.

Grip Control offers an enhanced traction control system and it is combined with certified M&S tires. The driver will also get to enjoy MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay compatibility and he/she will be assisted by the rearview camera, Active City Brake and Park Assist.

Peugeot's second premiere will be the Traveller i-Lab, a concept designed to preview the future of business transportation. It benefits from "optimum balance between exterior volume and interior roominess" thanks to the use of the EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2).

Inside, it has four individual seats at the rear, arranged opposite one another, a large 32-inch tablet-like touch screen in the middle, developed with Samsung, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, charging docks and virtual reality headsets. On board, the study also benefits from connected navigation with 3D mapping, automatic road sign recognition and driver inattention monitoring devices.

The Traveller will also debut in Switzerland, underpinned by the same EMP2 modular platform and powered by Euro6 BlueHDi engines, equipped with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system upstream of the DFP (Diesel Particulate Filter), offering up to 180PS (177hp) and 400Nm (295lb-ft) of torque, while emitting 140g/km CO2 and burning 5.6l/100km (35.2mpg US).

Also on display at Peugeot's stand will be the Fractal Concept, presented last year in Frankfurt, the 308 R Hybrid, 308 GTi and 2008 DKR racer, along with a variety of electrically-assisted bicycles.
