GFG Style Kangaroo Concept Is An AWD EV That Rockets To 62 MPH In 3.5 Seconds

We haven’t heard much from GFG Style lately, but the firm will use the Geneva Motor Show to introduce their new Kangaroo concept.

Billed as an “electric hyper-SUV,” the Kangaroo rides on an aluminum space frame platform which was developed in collaboration with CH Auto. The concept’s lightweight structure is covered by a carbon fiber body that appears more supercar than super SUV.

The company is keeping details under wraps, but the teaser image reveals the concept will have an aggressive front fascia with a prominent splitter and triangular air intakes. We can also see slender headlights and angular body work.

One of the concept’s more defining features is its unique greenhouse which has a domed appearance. The image also suggests there are roof-mounted cameras or sensors as well as upward opening doors.

GFG Style was coy on details, but confirmed the Kangaroo is a two-seater that features four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering. The company also said the concept will be able to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 155 mph (250 km/h). There’s no word on the car’s range at this point, but GFG Style suggested the concept will be able to travel anywhere.

The concept was created by Fabrizio Giugiaro and Giorgetto Giugiaro who are best known for their involvement in Italdesign Giugiaro. While the duo are no longer part of that company, they hinted the Kangaroo is an “extraordinary concept that, as in our tradition, will be completely unveiled in Geneva and drivable after the show on any terrain.”

GFG Style isn’t exactly a household name, but the company is probably best known for the Sibylla concept which was originally introduced at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
