New Noble M500 Premieres At Goodwood With Ford GT Engine


The small British sports car manufacturer Noble is looking to extend its family with a new model called the M500.

The new M500 will be positioned under the M600, which has been around since 2010, as Noble’s new entry-level model.


This means that Noble’s new baby will be more affordable than the M600. The latter costs approximately £300,000 ($397,227) in the United Kingdom.

The new Noble M500 might look ready to hit showrooms, but it’s not actually a working car, but rather a full-scale model that lacks an interior. The company’s director, Peter Boutwood, who’s also the person behind the design of the new product, says the M500 is currently in its early stages of development.


It might not have a full interior just yet, but the Noble M500 is powered by the same twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine as the modern day Ford GT. Exact details about the powertrain are scarce at the moment, but it’s said to generate roughly 550PS (542hp / 404kW), and channel them to the rear axle via a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Noble hasn’t announced anything else about the new M500, but for the time being, they have it on display at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed. And if everything goes as planned, then it could hit assembly next year.

Droptop crossovers have always been rather odd and the T-Roc Cabriolet is no different. Ford's new GT Competition Series was built with weight-saving in mind, but also with an improved center of gravity for better road-holding.
