New Faraday Future Small SUV Previewed In Official Sketch

In the event of the recent turmoil, Faraday Future wanted to reassure its partners, during their first Global Suppliers Summit in Gardena, California, that they’re still on the right path.

The two-day event gathered almost “200 representatives from more than 100 global suppliers”, according to the automaker, which also claimed that first deliveries of the FF 91 will start by the end of this year.

However, that’s not the biggest announcement made, as the company also teased another SUV. Slotting below the flagship FF 91, the vehicle was previewed in an official sketch, labeled as “product concept”. Design wise, it’s inspired by the FF 91, with slim headlights and similar creases in the front bumper.

If it eventually gets the green light for production, then expect a more down-to-earth styling, along with some of the technology found on the FF 91, including its autonomous driving system.

The flagship SUV, shown at last year’s CES in Las Vegas in prototype form, has four electric motors that take their juice from a 130kWh battery pack. The combined output stands at a staggering 1,050hp and 1,328lb-ft (1,800Nm) of torque, which results in a 0-60mph (0-96km/h) sprint in less than 2.4sec.

Its smaller sibling would obviously arrive with less power, but it could benefit from a similar zero-emission range, which, in the case of the FF 91, is said to be 378 miles (608km), as per EPA.
