Bentley claims its new Continental GT Speed is a more than just speedy in a straight line. The latest high performance version of the already rapid GT coupe comes with four-wheel steering and an electronically controlled rear differential to make sure the 5,000lb monster can do corners, too. That wasn’t always the case with the old car. Sure, it was great to push through fast open bends, but throw in some tighter curves and it was all too easy to overwhelm the front tires. But Bentley is so confident in the difference the new hardware makes, it’s calling the Speed ‘the most capable, performance-focused Bentley ever.’ Let’s deal with the Speed bit first. The 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 gets a mild upgrade from 626 hp to 640 hp, while torque stays the same at 664 lb ft. The top speed climbs 1mph to 208mph and the zero to 60mph time is now 3.5 seconds, down from 3.6 seconds in the standard W12 Conti GT. The GMC Terrain is one of the brand’s most important crossovers and it’s getting a facelift for 2022. Looking instantly recognizable, the 2022 Terrain features a larger grille that is flanked by restyled LED headlights. Further below, we can see a lightly modified front bumper with less chrome trim. Additional changes are limited, but the facelifted crossover gains new LED taillights and a revised color palette that includes four new options. The model has also been equipped with restyled 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels. The popular Denali and Elevation Edition return, and they’re being joined by an all-new AT4 variant. GMC didn’t say much about the latter, but it features a rugged exterior with plastic body cladding, a front skid plate and black wheels wrapped in meatier tires. OnePlus warmed up the crowd a few weeks ago by announcing its three year, $150 million partnership with legendary camera maker Hasselblad. Hasselblad cameras flew on Apollo 11 to the moon, now they come equipped on the latest Snapdragon 888 flagship. The OnePlus 9 Pro introduces Fluid Display 2.0 and Warp Charge 50 Wireless charging. It also has a bespoke Sony IMX789 image sensor in its main camera. The vanilla model has its own upgrades. The headlining feature this generation is the camera that Hasselblad helped develop and the OnePlus 9 Pro has the best version. On its first go-around in the smartphone segment, the Swedish camera maker focused on improving the color science of the two phones. Billed as a no limits beast that is “pure, passionate, mighty and captivating,” the Huayra R is a track-only hypercar that features a new V12-R engine. Designed from the ground up, in partnership with HWA AG, the naturally aspirated 6.0-liter engine is the “lightest, most powerful and efficient track-ready V12 ever created.” It produces an impressive 838 hp (625 kW / 850 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. The engine took more than two years to design and develop, and it screams to a 9000 rpm redline. It also tips the scales at 436 lbs (198 kg) and uses a 200 bar direct injection system that optimizes “performance by ensuring maximum efficiency in terms of thermodynamics and autonomy.” The engine is paired to a new six-speed sequential transmission, which was also developed in collaboration with HWA AG. The wraps are officially off Peugeot’s brand new family hatchback, the 308, that’s set to go on sale in Europe and other international markets (but not the U.S. after Stellantis decided to focus on Alfa Romeo instead) later this year. Beyond the sporty styling the other big news about the VW Golf challenger is the availability with electrified powertrains from the get-go. Underpinning the car is the third-generation of Stellantis’s EMP2 platform that has seen the 308’s wheelbase grow by 55 mm. In redesigning the car, Peugeot has also dropped its height by 20 mm to create a sleeker silhouette. Found at the front is the all-new roaring lion’s head logo of the brand. All variants of the 2021 308 come standard with LED headlights that complement vertical LED daytime running lights. The new BMW i4 has been revealed in full production form, following the carmaker’s 2021 Media Day event. BMW promised that their new all-electric four-door coupe was going to be 85 percent close to last year’s concept and they delivered on that promise. As expected, the new BMW i4 adopts the same front-end treatment as the iX, featuring a grille-like pair of big kidneys that act as a cover for the vehicle’s numerous sensors. Unlike the iX, this is probably going to be the model’s only controversial feature as the rest of the body avoids any design experiments, opting instead for the classic four-door coupe proportions. “With its sporty looks, best in class driving dynamics, and zero local emissions, the BMW i4 is a true BMW. The new Oppo Find X3 Pro is finally here - the flagship brings two 50MP cameras, a new 10bit screen with adaptive refresh rate, and the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. Porsche has taken the wraps off the Taycan Cross Turismo, and to nobody’s surprise the EV sedan’s off road brother looks almost identical to the cool Mission E Cross Turismo Concept from 2018. If there is a surprise, it’s the price: the entry level Taycan 4 Cross Turismo costs $90,900 plus delivery in the US (or £79,340 in the UK). Taken at face value that makes the Cross Turismo $12k more expensive than the entry-level sedan. But Porsche North America says the wagon version is only $1,530 more than the sedan after the new car’s extra equipment is taken into account. That equipment includes all-wheel drive, which you don’t get in the base Taycan and the bigger 93.4kWh Performance Battery Plus, which you can get in the base Taycan, but have to pay extra for. Shortly after the announcement of Volvo becoming an EV carmaker by 2030, the Swedish carmaker has revealed the new C40 Recharge, an all-electric coupe-SUV model that will be available for purchase exclusively online. The new Volvo C40 Recharge is based on the same CMA platform as the XC40 Recharge but it’s the company’s first model to be designed as pure electric only. The electric Volvo C40 Recharge adopts the usual styling traits of coupe SUV models, including a lower sloping roofline. Other features include a redesigned front fascia with new headlights that adopt “state-of-the-art pixel technology”, and a range of color and deco options that are unique to the new model. Power comes from a twin-motor setup, on on the front and one on the rear axle, producing a combined 402 HP and 487 lb-ft (660 Nm) of torque.
