Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster Revealed In Pebble Beach

Monterey Car Week continues as Lamborghini has taken the wraps off the new Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster. Following in the footsteps of last year’s SVJ 63 coupe, the roadster is a limited edition supercar that pays tribute to the company’s founding in 1963. Jointly created by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile and Ad Personam teams, the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster will be available in eight exclusive “design expressions.” Each will feature matte or shiny carbon fiber on the windshield frame, engine cover and roof. The car also has an SVJ 63 livery and special Leirion forged wheels with a matte titanium finish. Interior changes are minor, but drivers will find carbon fiber trim, CarbonSkin accents and one of three different Alcantara color schemes.  There’s also individually numbered badges. New Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder Drops Its Roof For Geneva

After unveiling the Huracan Evo Coupe at the beginning of the year, Lamborghini has now uncovered the new Spyder open-top derivative. It’s equipped with an electrohydraulic soft top that takes 17 seconds to lower and can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph). As the driver pushes the button that opens up the cabin, two fins rise up out of the folding roof casing towards the seatbacks. Drivers can electronically open the rear window with the roof up or down, to listen to the V10 soundtrack. As with the coupe, the supercar’s 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine has been tuned to deliver 640 PS (631 hp / 470 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. With a dry weight of 1,542 kg (3,340 lbs), and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.41 kg/PS (5.31 lbs/PS), it hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.3 seconds and has a top speed of 325 km/h (201 mph). 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO Breaks Cover With 640PS, Rear-Wheel Steering

Lamborghini’s newest iteration of the Huracan is dubbed the EVO and features a fully-integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control System, new infotainment technology with advanced connectivity and can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds. We already knew that it was going to be called the ‘EVO’ thanks to a recently released teaser of a Lamborghini invite-only app, offering us a pretty good look at the Huracan’s upgraded styling. Lamborghini gave the Huracan EVO a new front bumper, featuring a front splitter with integrated wing design, aiding airflow. Meanwhile, the larger air intakes boast the automaker’s signature Y-shape, while the profile reveals a new wheel design and new side air intakes. However, it’s the rear end that arguably makes the revised Huracan stand out the most. The twin exhaust tips are positioned higher up in the rear bumper, while the upper end of the rear section features an integrated, slotted spoiler for increased downforce. ...

Ferrari FXX-K Evo Revealed With 23% More Downforce

If you've ever seen an example of LaFerrari up close (much less driven in one), you'd probably have a hard time imagining it getting much more performance-focused. Yet the FXX-K does exactly that – and now Ferrari's rolled out an even more advanced version. Presented for the first time this weekend at the Finali Mondiali event at Mugello, the new FXX-K Evo represents the bleeding edge of what Ferrari's engineers are capable of in the form of a track-only driving tool that's bound to the rules of neither the road nor any racing series. The Evo package represents a significant increase in downforce: 23 percent over the existing FXX-K, and an amazing 75 percent over the road-going LaFerrari. In fact, it now generates nearly as much downforce as Ferrari's GT racing models, with over 1,800 pounds of aerodynamic grip produced at top speed. Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO Unveiled With Improved Aerodynamics

Lamborghini has taken the wraps off the new Huracan Super Trofeo EVO. Developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO builds on the success of its predecessor by adopting an improved aerodynamics package which aims to "maintain the same high downforce of the previous model while achieving higher overall aerodynamic efficiency." In order to achieve this goal, the company worked with Dallara Engineering to develop a new carbon fiber body kit which helps to improve stability while also reducing drag. The changes are pretty dramatic as Lamborghini says all the components have been "completely redesigned" except the front splitter, flat floor, and rear diffuser. Thanks to these modifications, as well as the addition of a roof hatch, the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO has "8% less resistance to forward motion" than its predecessor. The Mitsubishi Evo's Coming Back... As An Electric Crossover Concept

It's been over a year now since Mitsubishi canceled the Evo, and we may never see a new one again. But for better or worse, the name is about to return, in some form or another, on a new concept. Set to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in a little over a month from now, the new e-Evolution concept won't be an amped-up version of the Lancer sedan. Instead it will be a “low-slung, highly-aerodynamic SUV Coupé.” It's set to incorporate an electric all-wheel-drive powertrain “with advanced Artificial Intelligence technology,” whatever form that may take. And from this teaser image, it looks like it will be rather aggressively styled. More than that, we couldn't tell you just yet. But it won't be the first time that Mitsubishi will revive the name of a discontinued sports model for a crossover, following the emergence of the Eclipse Cross earlier this year.
