Bentley Launches Updated GT Speed & New Black Edition
With even more power and torque on tap, Bentley's updated GT Speed breaks cover alongside the new Black Edition version. Crewe engineers have managed to extract even more power from the Continental's 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 unit, which now produces 642 PS instead of 635 PS, with 20 extra Nm (14 lb-ft) of torque. This brings the total to 840 Nm (619 lb-ft) and as a result, the 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint time has dropped to just 3.9 seconds, whereas the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark is achieved in 4.1 seconds. At the same time, Bentley is introducing the Continental GT Speed Black Edition, meant to celebrate the "rich and striking depth" of the GT's sporty character. The 'Black Edition' is available as both a coupe as well as a convertible and comes with a high gloss black finish to the exterior brightware, which includes the window openings and lamp bezels.
