Lamborghini’s brand new Huracan EVO RWD Spyder was just unveiled using Augmented Reality on the carmaker’s official web page, featuring a lightweight soft-top and a 602 HP (610 PS) naturally-aspirated V10 engine. The new model will cost $229,428 in the US, €175,838 in Europe, £151,100 in the UK, RMB 2,794,000 in China and YEN 26,539,635 in Japan. All prices are without taxes, except for China. As for first customer deliveries, they’re scheduled for summer 2020. Power comes from a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 unit, producing 610 PS (602 HP) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque. With everything going to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, this new Huracan variant is able to rocket from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, before maxing out at 201 mph (324 km/h). The rear-wheel drive Audi R8, which was introduced a couple of years ago, has returned for the 2020MY, albeit with a few changes and a new moniker, as it’s now named the V10 RWD instead of the RWS. More importantly, though, it’s not a limited edition anymore, as it joins the R8 family as a production-series model. Available in both body styles, Coupe and Spyder, it will launch in European markets early next year, priced from €144,000 ($159,875) and €157,000 ($174,310) in Germany, respectively. The new R8 RWD sports a few visual updates on the outside that allow it to fly under the radar – well, as much as it can with that shape, anyway. Following last week’s teaser, Porsche has introduced the new 718 Boxster Spyder and the 718 Cayman GT4. Designed to be the pinnacle of the road-going 718 lineup, both models are equipped with a newly developed 4.0-liter boxer engine. The six-cylinder is naturally aspirated and produces 414 hp (309 kW / 420 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which enables both models to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds.  The top speeds are slightly different as the 718 Spyder maxes out at 187 mph (301 km/h), while the 718 GT4 tops out at 189 mph (304 km/h). After unveiling the Huracan Evo Coupe at the beginning of the year, Lamborghini has now uncovered the new Spyder open-top derivative. It’s equipped with an electrohydraulic soft top that takes 17 seconds to lower and can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph). As the driver pushes the button that opens up the cabin, two fins rise up out of the folding roof casing towards the seatbacks. Drivers can electronically open the rear window with the roof up or down, to listen to the V10 soundtrack. As with the coupe, the supercar’s 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine has been tuned to deliver 640 PS (631 hp / 470 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. With a dry weight of 1,542 kg (3,340 lbs), and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.41 kg/PS (5.31 lbs/PS), it hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.3 seconds and has a top speed of 325 km/h (201 mph). Audi has officially unveiled the 2019 R8 Coupe and Spyder. Set to go on sale in Europe early next year, the facelifted models have a more aggressive design as they adopt a wider Singleframe grille and three hood slits that pay tribute to the iconic Ur-quattro. Elsewhere, designers installed a new front splitter and more aggressive air intakes. Additional styling changes are limited, but Audi says the model has a new three-piece engine cover that is available in either plastic or carbon fiber. Speaking of options, there will be up to three exterior styling packages which add “various highlights to the front splitter, the side trims and the diffuser.” The updated model also offers two new colors – Kemora Gray and Ascari Blue – and optional high-gloss black badges. One year ago, Lamborghini unveiled the hardcore Huracan Performante. Now, the most driver-oriented version of the Huracan is getting an open-top version, which will undoubtedly turn every head in the room at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Huracan Performante Spyder features a soft-top roof that takes 17 seconds to open or close and doesn’t compromise the ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) active aerodynamics. Its naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 develops just as much power as its fixed-roof sibling, which is 640PS (631hp) and 600Nm (lb-ft) of torque, or 30PS (30hp) and 40Nm (30lb-ft) more than the LP610-4 Spyder, from which it is also 35kg (77lbs) lighter. The 0 to 100km/h (0-62mph) sprint has dropped from the standard Spyder’s 3.4 seconds to 3.1, which is 0.2sec shy off the Huracan Performante Coupe. Lamborghini says that they will “add a new dimension” to the Huracan Performante at the Geneva Motor Show, which is of course code for the drop-top Spyder version. The Italian manufacturer has been testing the Huracan Performante Spyder for quite some time now, with development prototypes even caught out on the wild almost completely undisguised. Chopping the roof off the Performante will definitely bring a “new dimension” to the driving experience as the free-revving 631hp V10 will flood the cabin more easily with its melodies. The topless version of the Performante will carry over the revolutionary active aero agenda of the coupe, which includes hollow components letting the air pass through them on demand, depending on the conditions. Joining the likes of the second generation R8 Spyder, which debuted last year, it features all the goodies you'd find in its fixed-roof sibling, and then some. At its heart, it carries the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine that now makes 610PS (601hp) and 560Nm (413lb-ft) of torque, pushed to all four corners through a sporty 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
