While VW did not reveal the all-new 8th generation 2020 Golf at this week’s Geneva Motor Show as many of us anticipated, we believe we can make it up with the best and most revealing photos of the popular compact model yet. It’s virtually undisguised, as only the front and rear lights have some distracting fake decals. However, the production car will use similar lighting units on both ends, so styling-wise, we don’t anticipate any surprises between now and its unveiling later this year. VW’s latest design language seems to fit the MK8 Golf pretty well, giving it an overall sleeker and more modern appearance, while also paying homage to the MK7 model, which ditched the MK6’s curvy lines in favor of a sharper look. Still, every single body panel is new on the MK8, and the front end design gives it a squinty, sort of menacing aesthetic, somewhat similar to the Arteon’s. The facelifted Hyundai Elantra / Avante has been spied undisguised, ahead of its unveiling in South Korea next month. Looking far more radical than its predecessor, the updated model has been equipped with an all-new front fascia which eschews the gentle curves of the current model. The subtle styling cues are replaced by hard, angular lines and triangular shapes. The triangular styling can also been seen in the car’s new headlights which now extend into the grille. The latter has also been redesigned as it features a revised shape as well as slender horizontal bars. The sides remain largely the same, but the Elantra has been equipped with new taillights that have a more dynamic appearance. This is the upcoming S version of the new Audi Q8, spotted free of camouflage during its late development stage. A recent report on the range-topping RS Q8 claimed that it will feature the same plug-in hybrid powertrain used by the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, where it makes 671 HP. That, however, would make it more powerful than the Lamborghini Urus, which, given that both companies fall under the VW Group umbrella, seems unlikely. Besides, Audi has teased the production SQ8 with the Q8 Sport Concept that was powered by a mild hybrid powertrain consisting of a 443hp 3.0-liter V6 TFSI hooked up with a 27hp electric motor, offering a total of 469hp (476PS) and 516lb-ft (700Nm) of torque – something that seems more plausible. The car will feature the brand’s 48-volt electrical architecture and a small lithium-ion battery pack mounted under the boot. With Porsche’s new generation 911 (992) still in its testing phase, it was only a matter of time until we got to see what it looked like on the inside as well. The exterior has been pretty well documented, especially with all the lightly-camouflaged prototypes driving around recently. Its cabin however was a different story. Until now, we only suspected that it borrowed heavily from the all-new Panamera, and from what we can see, it both does and doesn’t. For starters, the touchscreen infotainment display is far from being as large as the Panamera’s 12.3-inch one, and the center console has a lot more physical buttons and switches than you’d find on the 911’s four-door sibling. The overall dashboard design is also different, not just compared to the Panamera’s, but to the current 991’s too. Not only are we looking at a simpler design, but for the first time ever, the central air vents have been positioned underneath the infotainment system, unlike with the 991, 997, 996, 993, ...

What you’re looking at is the latest-generation Ford Focus without a hint of camouflage and looking very attractive indeed. The new Ford Focus will premiere at an event in April but recently, a reader of Vezess snapped the hatchback during an official photo shoot of the car in Cascais, Portugal. It appears as if the blue Focus pictured is an ST Line model due to the presence of a small badge on the front fender and a set of silver and black alloy wheels. An aggressive roof spoiler also makes the car look especially appealing. Compared to the outgoing Focus, the exterior design of the new car is dramatically different. In fact, we think it looks quite similar to a number of South Korean hatchbacks, including the latest Hyundai i30 and Kia Rio. That’s certainly no bad thing. Geely’s upcoming B-Segment crossover is expected to debut during this year’s Beijing Auto Show in April, with a choice of two small turbocharged petrol engines. These images were uncovered by Chinese portal Autohome, and show what looks like a surprisingly sporty exterior, with angular design elements, an aggressive front bumper, wheel arch bulges, a blacked-out rear pillar design that leads to a floating roof aesthetic, a tailgate spoiler, dual exhaust tips, and a full-width chrome trim piece uniting the taillights. Coming in at 4,330 mm (170.4 in) in length, 1,800 mm (70.8 in) in width and 1,609 mm (63.3 in) in height, and with a wheelbase measuring 2,600 mm (102.3 in), the SX11 is slightly longer, wider and taller than a Honda HR-V, nearly matching the latter’s wheelbase length, which sits at 2,610 mm (102.7 in). While it will retain the first-generation model's overall shape, the all-new Hyundai Veloster is clearly trying to look slightly more aggressive and less quirky. Ever since we saw it rocking that colorful camo back in November, we immediately noticed the new grille, the different LED DRLs and even a new bumper design with vertical air intakes. Now, since we can look at it without anything distracting us from its design, we can back up those impressions from a few weeks ago, while adding that the running lights look a little BMW-ish. Also, the overall shape of the headlights is a complete departure from what he saw on the old car. The new headlights are a lot smaller and indeed, less quirky than before, and the rear end looks more conventional. Speaking of the rear, while initially we thought that the bumper would protrude a bit further out from the tailgate, that doesn't seem to be the case - although some of these images aren't exactly crystal clear....

It is no secret that Ferrari is working on a hardcore variant of the 488 GTB and now an image has surfaced online that appears to show the supercar without any camouflage. This photo, initially published by Motor.es, depicts two track-focused 488s in a garage, one of which wears white plastic over its revised body panels while the front-end of the second prototype has been left exposed. Compared to the current 488, the mid-engine supercar has received a revised front fascia that includes a different bumper with larger air intakes and some black trim. The headlights have also been blacked-out to increase the vehicle’s aggressiveness. According to some sources, the car will be dubbed the Ferrari 488 GTO but we’re not convinced. The ‘GTO’ badge has only been used three times in the history of Ferrari production cars and even the Ferrari F12tdf wasn’t considered special enough to receive the honor. Even though we know what the dashboard of the 2019 G-Class looks like, these images provide a more in-depth look, since now we can also see the entire center console, door panels and some of the cabin. For starters, we can now see that the lower console has a truly minimalist design, unlike what you get on the current G-Wagen. The rest of the dashboard features the automaker's modern switchgear, wide displays like you get on the E-Class and S-Class, plus a circular air vent design, replacing the old square ones. As for the door panels, they seem to have grown in width over the current ones, which will definitely help those who like to rest their elbow on them while they drive. Geely's new Lynk&Co brand didn't plan on revealing its third new model, we hear, until late in April at the Beijing Motor Show. But the first images of the crossover have leaked out ahead of time. Called the 02, the compact crossover is expected to slot in below the 01. Autocar reports that it shares its Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) with the new Volvo XC40, fitting dimensionally in between those two models. We're also told to expect a plug-in hybrid powertrain, with a completely electric version to follow – and a suspension tuned to European tastes. The styling (ostensibly penned by Peter Horbury) certainly reveals its European influence, with details that remind us of Porsches and Saabs in particular. We’re about three weeks away from the official debut of the new Lamborghini Urus but images of its interior have already surfaced online. Courtesy of Instagram user altdynamic, the images reveal the dashboard of the new Lambo SUV which features the latest display technologies of the VW Group mixed with the Italian company’s familiar hexagon-based theme. Just like the latest generation of the Audi A8 and A7, the new Lamborghini Urus makes use of two digital displays, one for infotainment purposes and one for the HVAC controls while the driver’s gauges are digital as expected. The air-vents follow a similar design with the Huracan while the center console appears to have the same flip-switch red cover for the engine start/stop button. This futuristic semi-truck was recently spotted on a small airstrip known to be a common testing ground for Tesla, the same place where the first Model S P85D sighting occurred. While we can't be absolutely certain this is the EV-maker's eagerly awaited truck, all evidence seems to point to it, including the fact that it resembles this teaser revealed by Elon Musk back in April. If you recall, that teaser image showed the front fascia of a tall semi that featured flared fenders with embedded daytime running lights. As you can see, this semi also has flared fenders, and the lights appear to be where we thought they'd be too. There is one thing that doesn't quite add up at first, and that's the height difference between this truck and the one in the teaser image. The second-generation, 2018 Nissan Leaf has been snapped completely undisguised for the very first ahead of its reveal in Tokyo on September 6. The images, captured by Broom from the streets of Spain, highlight the radical new exterior design that was first previewed by a number of thinly-disguised prototypes. The design of the new Leaf is so different and so much better than the original that it’d be a disservice to compare it to its predecessor. Underscoring the new design are appealing new front and rear fascias and a short rear overhang. Making this particular 2018 Leaf look even more appealing is the gloss black roof breaking up the white paint scheme and making it feel slightly more premium. While the design of the 2018 Leaf will sell some units, it won’t be all of the selling, that should be done by the new powertrain. While Hyundai keeps teasing the official reveal of the upcoming Kona, the world has already caught a glimpse in early May, and this exclusive scoop gives our best look yet at the upcoming Korean sub-compact SUV. The new Hyundai Kona was caught in Madrid’s city center in an early Sunday morning, during what looks like filming a press kit video or TV spot. The shooting involved a group of Mercedes V-Class models being behind and blocking the traffic in order to let this light blue example and the camera car some clean space. Hyundai wanted something special from the design of the new Kona and that shows from the very first moment you lay your eyes on it.
