The new Toyota Rush, sister car to the Daihatsu Terios, which also recently broke cover, has been unveiled in Indonesia, featuring faux underbody protection, LED lights and a modern interior. Just like the Terios, the 2018 Toyota Rush also takes after the Daihatsu FT Concept from 2015, and thanks to AutoNetMagz, we can analyze both its styling, as well as its features. For starters, there's plenty of body cladding, while the previously mentioned front and rear LED lights and blacked-out grille give it a more distinctive look. If you go for the TRD Sportivo version, it means getting TRD-badged scuff plates with red high highlights, another TRD badge on the rear door, 17" two-tone alloys, black fog lamp surrounds, and keyless entry, which is available only on this version. It's been about a dozen years since Daihatsu introduced its second-generation Terios. That makes it prime for replacement, and that replacement was unveiled today in Indonesia. The compact crossover has grown, as so many have, in its latest iteration – by 6.7 inches, to be precise. At under 175 inches from nose to tail, it's still smaller than a Toyota RAV4, but it's grown large enough to accommodate seven passengers. Styling is clearly drawn from recent crossover concepts Daihatsu has showcased, like the DN Multisix displayed at this year's Indonesian Motor Show and (perhaps to a lesser extent) the FT revealed in 2015. Ditching the old Terios' platform, the third-generation model is based on the underpinnings of the Xenia (also known as the Toyota Avanza) minivan. Power comes from a 1.5-liter inline-four, which you might expect to be driving the front wheels, but actually drives the rear, through either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic....

Nissan's brand Datsun is looking to cater Indonesia's young car enthusiasts with the new Go Live Concept. Based on the Datsun Go hatch, the study features a lot of customization, and it looks like it came from a tuner, rather than an automaker. Changes include the camouflage-style paint, bring yellow accents, large hexagonal grille, new headlights, bulging fenders, different bumpers, sporty side skirts, a roof-mounted spoiler, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The brand's executive design director, Kei Kyu, said: "We didn't want to just have a sporty execution of the design – like having it sit low to the ground and extra wide – because that's so typical and predictable in today's world. Instead, we wanted to show that this car makes a strong design statement to our customers, who express themselves through their vehicles and help them celebrate their passions." Mitsubishi has unveiled the all-new Xpander at the Indonesia International Auto Show in Jakarta. Designed to blend the ruggedness of SUVs with the practicality of MPVs, the Xpander has a bold appearance that will likely provoke some pretty strong reactions. While styling is always subjective, the model has a Dynamic Shield front fascia with high-mounted LED daytime running lights and vertical headlights. The unique styling continues further back as designers installed prominent character lines and flared wheel arches. The model also has a gently sloping roof, a tailgate-mounted spoiler, and L-shaped LED taillights. Moving into the cabin, drivers will find a three-spoke steering wheel, metallic accents, and tasteful touches of wood trim. Going back 110 years, Daihatsu is one of the world's oldest manufacturers of internal-combustion engines. But that doesn't mean it can't look towards the future, like it has with these two new concepts. Set to be unveiled at the Indonesia International Auto Show in Jakarta this weekend are the Daihatsu DN Multisix and the DN F-Sedan. The Japanese automaker (now wholly owned by Toyota) has given us very little to go on – just a couple of photos and few details – but the show cars clearly demonstrate a new design language for the brand. The DN Multisix is ostensibly a six-passenger minivan (or MPV as they're often called overseas) with more of a crossover look – but nothing like the Chevy Uplander and Pontiac Montana with which GM tried to make the minivan relevant to sport-ute buyers a decade ago. Mitsubishi has officially dropped the veils off the new MPV that will debut at the Indonesia International Auto Show that takes place from August 10 to August 20. Previously referred to as the Expander, the vehicle's official name has yet to be revealed, but the automaker says that they will make the announcement during the automotive event. Until then, it simply refers to it as the 'Next-Generation MPV'. Said to combine the "SUV toughness with MPV roominess", it features a bold design that was clearly inspired by the some of the brand's concept cars that debuted over the last few years. It has LED DRLs mounted on each side of the grille with the headlights are positioned right beneath them. There is nothing dramatic going on on the sides, and the conservative looking rear end does seem to come in contrast with the bold front fascia. Mitsubishi will reveal a new small MPV, to be reportedly named Expander, at the upcoming Indonesia Auto Show. The new model will be basically the production version of last year’s XM Concept and will blend the practicality and versatility of an MPV with the style of an SUV according to Mitsubishi. The new model is styled after Mitsubishi’s latest design language, featuring the characteristic front grille, L-shaped taillights and sharp creases on its sides. The new Mitsubishi Expander will be produced at the company’s new factory in Indonesia. Power will come from a 1.5-liter petrol engine mated to a CVT gearbox that features six virtual ratios in manual mode, according to the local Autonetmagz. The interior will reportedly host three rows of seats for up to seven passengers and despite the compact dimensions. We still don’t know if there are any plans for Mitsubishi to offer the new Expander outside select Asian markets but we’ll find out once it debuts on August 10. ...

There's a new Mitsubishi concept coming our way and since the teasing game has begun, we cannot help ourselves from noticing mind-blowing similarities to one  presented last year : the eX.  From the identical shape of the body to the same color, the new concept doesn’t seem to offer any surprises on the outside, even though it carries what seems to be chrome detailing on the grille, a set of roof rails and differently shaped taillights, on top of the  eX . While the latter is tipped to morph into a  zero-emission urban crossover  and rival the likes of the Nissan Juke, the "new" study is said to combine " the toughness of an SUV with the versatility of an MPV ", as Mitsubishi explains in the short text accompanying the teaser.
