Aston Martin has decided to celebrating its ongoing partnership with Red Bull Racing by unveiling the new V8 and V12 Vantage Red Bull Racing Editions. Both vehicles have been created through Q by Aston Martin and will be delivered from the second quarter of this year. As is typical with special edition models like these, they are primarily distinguished from ‘ordinary’ Vantages by their paint schemes, this time featuring the Mariana blue, yellow and red combination used by the RBR Formula 1 team. If owners want something different, Tungsten Silver and satin Mariana blue are offered. Other special touches to the V8 and V12 Vantage Red Bull Racing Editions include a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon diffuser and carbon grille frame. The cabins of the two then have diamond-quilting, an alcantara steering wheel, carbon fiber trim and Red Bull Racing headrest embroidery. The  AM-RB 001 hypercar  being developed by Aston Martin and Red Bull Technologies could deliver upwards of 4,000 pounds (1,814 kg) of downforce. In an article by the  Wall Street Journal  discussing the model, its designer, Adrian Newey, revealed the extraordinary figure for the track-only variant. According to project engineer David King, that could make the AM-RB 001 capable of cornering at up to 4 g of lateral acceleration. By comparison, a  Formula One car  can develop 3.5 g of lateral acceleration and the McLaren P1 GTR around 2.5 g. Helping to achieve such extraordinary figures will be the model's utilization of an advanced underbody air channel design which will be so effective that the model won't have to use a large rear wing or any clearly visible aerodynamic aids. While full technical specs will be revealed in due course, according to both Aston Martin as well as RBR, the AM-RB 001's high-revving naturally aspirated V12 is potent enough to achieve a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, or 1 BHP per kilo of weight. The  AM-RB 001  is engineered to be perfectly usable and enjoyable on the road, but with the ability to perform like no other road car when driven on a race track. Though, future customers only interested in its racing performance will be glad to know that a track-only AM-RB 001 is also in development, projected to be as fast as a LMP1 Le Mans sports prototype. Like many of you, I agree that Max Verstappen is one of Formula 1's most promising youngsters. While most people say he's a future race-winner and a possible world champion, I've seen something extra-he's got a little bit of Senna in him. Aston Martin  has a new  supercar  in the works. Only this time, it isn't going it alone. Dubbed project AM-RB 001, this model is being jointly developed by the British automaker and  Red Bull  Racing. The freshly inked "Innovation Partnership" has been a  long time  in the  making  and will  combine the talents  of Aston Martin's chief designer Marek Reichman with those of Red Bull's legendary technical director Adrian Newey. Motorsports consultancy AF Racing AG will also collaborate with  Q by Aston Martin Advanced  and Red Bull Advanced Technologies to get the project off the ground and onto the road – and the track. Unfortunately, as the  teaser image above is  decidedly sparing with the details.
