Described as Skoda’s first SUV coupe, the Kodiaq GT is the brand’s fourth SUV offered in China. The Asian country is the only one in the world where the Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq, and Kodiaq GT will be available. The latter will become the brand’s new flagship in China, the company’s most important sales market. Based on the regular Kodiaq, the GT version adopts typical “SUV coupe” design cues highlighted by the sloping roofline. While the front end looks quite similar to that of the Kodiaq sold in Europe and other markets, the side and rear views paint a different picture. The Kodiaq GT appears more dynamic than the regular model. The steeply raked rear screen, the sculpted tailgate, and the two exhaust tips flanking the lower part of the rear bumper contribute to that impression. Skoda has finally unveiled the Kodiaq RS, a performance-oriented SUV that can seat as many as seven people. Aside from showing off the vehicle at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, the Czech automaker is also quite ready for us to know just how quick their sporty, yet highly practical SUV really is. The new Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-liter TDI biturbo, with 240 PS (237 HP) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. It’s Skoda’s most powerful diesel engine ever, and it works together with a 7-speed DSG automatic and an all-wheel drive system. On a straight line, the Kodiaq RS can go from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7 seconds flat, before maxing out at 220 km/h (136 mph). Skoda is offering yet another sneak preview into the Kodiaq RS, which will premiere at the beginning of October. The brand’s first ever performance SUV will greet the audience at the 2018 Paris Auto Show, not only with revised styling, mechanicals and a potent diesel engine, but with a new logo as well. Gone is the green color and in comes the red, which “symbolizes how sporty and virile the RS family is”, says the automaker. “The letter ‘v’ denotes victory”, adds Skoda, reminding fans that the ‘RS’ logo was first used in 1974, on the 180 RS and 200 RS rally prototypes. After giving us the first pieces of the Kodiaq RS puzzle earlier in the week, Skoda has now brought it forward once more, revealing a record-breaking lap around the Nurburgring. In the hands of none other than Sabine Schmitz, the only woman to have won the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring, the Skoda Kodiaq has become the fastest 7-seat SUV to have lapped the track. It took the ‘Ring Queen 9 minutes and 29.84 seconds to complete the 20.8km (12.9mi) long course and its 73 turns. If there's one thing that the Volkswagen Group has figured out, it's how to ruggedize its road-going vehicles. You might assume, though, that it wouldn't need to apply that treatment to its SUVs... but you'd be mistaken. Case in point: the new Skoda Kodiaq Scout. Scout , for those unfamiliar, is what Skoda calls its beefing-up program – similar to sister-brand  VW's Alltrack ,  Audi's Allroad , and  Seat's X-Perience  lines. Skoda's usual values of space and practicality could be left aside when it comes to a new stylish vehicle, based on the recently unveiled  Kodiaq  SUV.  The sportier version of the Kodiaq is definitely on the automaker's 'to do' list for the European market, according to  AutoExpress , which is citing the brand's chief, Bernhard Maier.  " The coupe SUV is a wonderful derivative. With just a few hours left until its official presentation in Berlin, set to be broadcasted  via live streaming , the all-new Skoda Kodiaq shows its exterior design in a bunch of leaked images.  Unsurprisingly, the Czech SUV resembles the  VisionS study , presented in Geneva earlier this year, sprinkled with a few extra touches in tone with the brand's latest models. Characterized by a  tall front end , pronounced wheel arches and a generous ground clearance, it is 4.7 meters (185 in) long and, in its base trim, will come with a five-seat layout. Skoda has just released a first batch of images depicting the  Kodiaq's  cabin. While the steering wheel and door panels might be similar to those found on the Superb, the overall dashboard layout is completely different.  The instrument panel features two symmetrical zones, the air vents are positioned vertically instead of horizontally like on the Superb or the Octavia, and the touch display comes with a sophisticated glass design. According to Skoda, all switches and functions are easy to access and the whole interior comes with a self-explanatory layout, which means that you won't have to waste too much time trying to figure out what certain buttons do. We're just a few weeks away from the world premiere of the new  Skoda Kodiaq , set to take place on September 1 in Berlin. But before we get there, the Bohemian automaker has given us a bit more to look at with these latest teaser images and video. Skoda's first proper foray into SUVs (with apologies to the Yeti), the Kodiaq was previewed in concept form as the  Vision S  earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The production version looks poised to follow the concept's lead closely, albeit with some changes as concessions to the reality of mass production. The new Skoda Kodiaq will offer  seating for seven  and more than 2,000 liters of cargo capacity.
