Renault is showcasing in Geneva these days the new generation of the Scenic compact family vehicle. 20 years after the first Scenic, Renault is launching the fourth generation of the model that brings fresh new design and modern technologies. The first impression is that the MPV is just an enlarged version of the Captur crossover, but upon closer inspection you’ll find many new details in the design. Compared to the Scenic 3, the car is 1.57 inches (40 millimeters) longer and 0.78 inches (20 mm) wider. Based on the R-Space concept, it comes with steeply-raked windscreen, short bonnet, and C-shaped headlights which, depending on the trim level, can benefit from LED technology. The organizers of the 2016 Geneva Motor Show gave us an unexpected surprise today dropping the first official image of  Renault’s all-new 2017 Scenic compact MPV . Believe it or not, the design is very close to  Renault’s R-Space concept  back from 2011, albeit without the ‘suicide-style’ pillarless rear doors and with a taller ride height. We suspect that the French firm will market it in a similar fashion to  the larger Espace , as a practical and spacious minivan with crossover qualities. Based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance's modular CMF platform shared with the Megane, the new Scenic will occupy the space between the brand’s Captur and Kadjar SUVs in regards to size and pricing, offering a similar range of engines as the compact hatch.
