Apollo Intensa Emozione Supercar Debuts With A Design That Would Make Pagani Jealous

Image
Apollo is back with an entirely new product that debuted today under the Intensa Emozione moniker, or IE for short. It's aimed at enthusiasts with deep pockets who would rather go for a modern supercar with a naturally aspirated V12 engine, rather than some of the eco-friendly machines currently available on the market, or in development. At its heart lies a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that feeds 780PS (769hp) and 760Nm (561lb-ft) of torque to the wheels, through a sequential 6-speed gearbox, with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The new Apollo IE has a curb weight of just 1,250kg (2,756lbs) and takes 2.7sec to reach 100km/h (62mph) , from a standstill, before topping out at 335km/h (208mph). Beneath the skin, it features a carbon fiber monocoque with crash boxes, race car-inspired suspension, and carbon ceramic brakes made by Brembo. On the outside, the supercar benefits from advanced aerodynamics, all wrapped under a design that can only...

Apollo Releases New Teaser Images For IE Hypercar

Image
Apollo Automobili has released a slew of new teaser images showing its upcoming IE hypercar. We got our first glimpse of the IE last week courtesy of a very dark and very mysterious teaser. Now, the company that superseded Gumpert has shown off some of the key carbon fiber details of the hypercar, including its front splitter, rear diffuser and some other components. Not many other details about the IE are known at this early stage, but sources seem to indicate it will be the road-going version of the Arrow concept introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, albeit with an overhauled design and new powertrain. That new powertrain will be headlined by a naturally-aspirated V12 engine in place of the 1,000 hp, 4.0-liter biturbo V8 of the original Arrow. Expect to hear more about the latest Apollo in the coming weeks and months. Carscoops

Apollo Teases Other-Worldly IE Hypercar

Image
Apollo Automobili has just released a teaser image of its new hypercar, which could end up being one of the wildest models on the market. The image, taken from the rear, reveals that the car, dubbed the IE, will have a curved rear wing and bulging rear arches that make the rear of the IE somewhat reminiscent of Jackson Storm from Cars 3. Apollo designers probably weren’t inspired by that fictional race car but even still, we can still see some similarities. Beyond these design elements, the design of the IE also catches the eye thanks to the uniquely-shaped trio of tailpipes which appear to be titanium, based on their purple tinge. Few other details about the IE are known, but the car will follow on from the Arrow concept that debuted at 2016’s Geneva Motor Show. Current word suggests that unlike the Arrow, which had a biturbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, the IE will be powered by a stonking great V12, inevitably promising to deliver an absurd amount of power, just like vehicles from ...
