Details about the powertrains of Lamborghini’s much awaited Urus were revealed by the company’s boss, Stephano Domenicali. Domenicali said during an interview with AutoNews that the 2018 Lamborghini Urus will be powered by a 650hp twin-turbo V8 as standard, with a plug-in hybrid model to follow a year after the car’s official launch. Lamborghini plans to build 1,000 units of the Urus in 2018 and 3,500 annually starting from 2019. Domenicali said that if demand proves to be higher, the production rate could grow as well. The new model is expected to be revealed towards the end of the year at Lamborghini’s factory in Sant’ Agata. The new Urus will be produced there, alongside the Huracan and the Aventador. After releasing  a short teaser video , Ken Block pulled the wraps off its evolved hooning machine based on a 1965 Ford Mustang, the Hoonicorn V2.  The first iteration of the bespoke vehicle already was one of the craziest builds the world had seen, packing an one-off chassis with a 6.7-litre naturally aspirated V8 complete with 845hp transmitted to all four wheels. Various reports have suggested that the model won’t shy away from Lamborghini's mental roots, offering the same amount of lunacy as you’d expect from a car bearing the Raging Bull. Ferrari's first ever four-seater with a turbocharged V8 engine will make its official debut at the upcoming  Paris Auto Show . This turbocharged version comes hot on the heels of the GTC4Lusso, which  already raised the bar  in terms of performance for Ferrari's signature four-seater 12-cylinder GTs. To hear the Prancing Horse put it, the GTC4Lusso T is aimed  "squarely at drivers looking for range as well as sporty driving and versatility." Powered by a 3.9-liter V8 turbo, good for 602hp (610 PS) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque, the GTC4Lusso T is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds, before maxing out at slightly over 320 km/h (198 mph). The second-generation Audi R8 is set to receive the same 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine as the latest  Porsche Panamera . As  Autocar  reports, this engine has been developed by Audi and Porsche and will be utilized in a selection of Audi models, including the next RS4, RS5 and RS Q5.  In the  R8 , it will serve as the replacement to the 4.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 which was available on the first-gen model. It is being favored due to harsh emissions standards in a selection of markets,  particularly China . Beyond being more efficient than the V8, the twin-turbo V6 will be even more powerful. When installed into the Panamera 4S, it delivers 434 hp at 5,650 rpm and 405 lb-ft of torque between 1,750 and 5,500 rpm. By comparison, the original V8-driven R8 supercar delivered 414 hp.
