2020 Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition Gets ’70s-era 240Z Throwback Color Scheme

The Datsun 240Z made its U.S. debut a half a century ago and Nissan is marking the occasion by unveiling the 2020 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition. Set to debut at the New York Auto Show later this week, the 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition pays tribute to the #46 Brock Racing Enterprises 240Z that won multiple SCCA National Championships with John Morton behind the wheel. The special edition is based on the 370Z Sport and has a two-tone livery that mimics the BRE race car. Customers can order the Z in white with red accents or silver with black accents. Regardless of which is selected, all 50th Anniversary Editions will have contrasting paint on their hood, trunk, mirrors and A-pillars. The model also boasts side stripes, 50th Anniversary badging and special 19-inch alloy wheels with red accents. Nissan And Italdesign Create The Ultimate GT-R To Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Nissan has revealed the GT-R50 by Italdesign, a prototype based on the 2018 GT-R Nismo built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of both the iconic Japanese sports car and Italdesign. As the GT-R turns 50, Nissan has collaborated for the first time with Italdesign to create a “limitless” GT-R. Italdesign developed, engineered and built the one-off prototype which will debut in Europe next month. The GT-R50’s new bodywork gets a distinctive gold detailing, a new hood with a more pronounced power bulge, thin LED headlights, a lower by 54mm roofline, a steeper rake for the rear window and twin floating taillights with hollow centers, among other. The prototype is finished in what Nissan calls “Liquid Kinetic Gray” paint finish with “Energetic Sigma Gold” accents while the wheels are custom 21-inch items. Morgan Plus 8 50th Anniversary Edition Is British Craftsmanship At Its Finest

British automaker Morgan is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Plus 8 with a limited edition that’s coming to the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Teased for the second time in three official images and a video, this example sports a blue lacquered paint finish, which is supposed to be reminiscent of the first Plus 8, along with yellow accents around the grille, bonnet, and rear towing eyes. Developed on the track, only 50 units will be produced and all of them feature an aluminum chassis beneath the traditional body. The lightweight construction helps the latest Morgan weigh just 1,100kg (2,425lbs). Described as “one of the lightest V8 passenger cars in the world”, the Morgan Plus 8 50th Anniversary Edition is powered by a 4.8-liter BMW engine. Subaru Celebrates 50th Anniversary With Limited Edition Vehicles In Chicago

It’s been 50 years since Subaru of America first started its operations, and to celebrate the event, the automaker has launched limited edition models of some cars. Presented during the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, these include the Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, and Outback, limited to 1,050 units each, and the BRZ, WRX, and STI, with a combined total of 1,050. Subaru BRZ Already on sale at the brand’s dealers nationwide, all anniversary models are based on their respective range-topping trim level. They also get a new exclusive color, called Heritage Blue, special exterior and interior accents, and unique ‘SOA 50th Anniversary’ emblem. 2018 Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition Unveiled For SEMA

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2018 Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition ahead of its debut at SEMA. Set to go on sale next year, the special edition is essentially a $4,995 package that will be available on 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible models. The styling package doesn't come cheap but it includes a Crush orange exterior with full-length body stripes that are mean to recall the classic orange tracks made by Hot Wheels. The car has also been equipped with orange brake calipers, tinted taillights, and a revised grille that features Galvano Chrome inserts. Rounding out the exterior changes are a Satin Graphite ground effects package, black bowtie emblems, and 20-inch forged aluminum wheels with unique center caps. Lastly, there are anniversary edition badges on the front fenders. Lamborghini Makes Five Special Edition Aventador S Roadsters For Japan

Lamborghini has celebrated its 50th anniversary in Japan by staging the Asian debut of the Aventador S Roadster in the country and introducing a new limited edition model. Called the "Aventador S Roadster 50th Anniversary Japan," the special edition will pay tribute to the five natural elements of Japanese culture including earth, wind, fire, sky, and water. Production will be limited to five units and each one is billed as a one-off model as it draws inspiration from one of the aforementioned elements. The water version was displayed during Lamborghini Day in Tokyo and features a unique paint job that required ten people and 170 hours of labor to complete. The end result is pretty impressive as the black and blue combination blends perfectly with the exposed carbon fiber accents on the windscreen frame and hard top. Shelby's New 50th Anniversary Super Snake Mustang Has Up To 750 HP

Shelby American celebrates five decades from the birth of the original and famous Super Snake with a new, limited Anniversary Edition. The reveal took place at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, with the 2017  Super Snake Mustang  to be offered in 500 units and starting from $69,995 MSRP.  Shelby American collaborated with Ford Performance on improving the suspension and upgrading the braking system with big Wilwood rotors and six-piston calipers. Ford’s 5.0-litre V8 is now supercharged and makes 670hp as standard, with optional superchargers on offer able to pump out over 750hp.  Shelby claims that a  ‘properly optioned’ Super Snake  can hit a 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, on pump gas and Michelin street tires, and run the quarter mile in just 10.9 seconds.
