Aston Martin has finally revealed the production version of the Valhalla, a hybrid mid-engine supercar that pairs a 4.0-liter V8 with two electric motors to give it a combined output of 937 hp (950 PS/698 kW). The British brand calls the car a huge step forward for the company and a transformational moment. Joining the growing class of hybrid supercars, the Valhalla will look to turn Aston Martin’s fortunes. The brand is quick to clarify that although the new car will be a technological marvel, putting the driver at the center of the experience between the various motors. Kicking things off is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 engine, sourced from Mercedes-AMG. Aston Martin is presenting the new V12 Speedster, a screen-less bespoke supercar designed to be an “uncompromising, visceral two-seater” for a few lucky customers. The new Aston Martin V12 Speedster draws inspiration from the company’s rich racing history and will be produced by the company’s Q division in just 88 examples, each priced at £765,000 ($1 million). Power comes from a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine, which is tuned to produce 690 HP (700 PS) and 555 lb-ft (752 Nm) of torque. That’s enough firepower to send the new Aston Martin V12 Speedster from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). The 2021 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster has just been presented prior to its public premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The drop-top Vantage has been a long time coming and features a fabric top that can be lowered in just 6.7 seconds when the car is stationary or in 6.8 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph (50 km/h). This makes it the fastest folding automatic soft-top in the industry. It’s common for convertible versions of cars to weigh more than their coupe counterparts and it’s no different with the Vantage Roadster although it does only gain 132 lbs (60 kg) over the hardtop. This is thanks to the Z-fold mechanism design and the lightweight bracing featured throughout the car. Not willing to let McLaren and Ferrari have all of the fun, Aston Martin has just announced a limited-edition Speedster of its own, aptly dubbed the ‘V12 Speedster.’ The car, teased through a single sketch, has been created by the British brand’s in-house bespoke service Q by Aston Martin and features a design reminiscent of the 1959 Le Mans-winning DBR1 and the CC100 Speedster Concept from 2013. Powering the Aston Martin V12 Speedster will be the company’s flagship 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that will produce “around” 690 hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. Interestingly, both of those figures are less than what the DBS Superleggera pumps out. The V12 Speedster will be rear-wheel drive and feature a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. After months of development and teasing, the long-awaited 2020 Aston Martin DBX has landed with the official images showing the luxury performance crossover in full. Back in September, Aston Martin confirmed what engine would power its SUV. This engine takes the shape of a twin-turbo 4.0-liter AMG V8 delivering 542 hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque and is the same basic unit as used by the Vantage and DB11 V8. It does have more grunt than either of those two models, however. The sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) is dealt with in 4.5 seconds and the SUV will continue through to a 181 mph (291 km/h) top speed. Aston Martin has revealed the exterior design of the upcoming DBS GT Zagato in a series of official renders. Based on the DBS Superleggera, the company’s latest limited-edition supercar showcases the latest evolution in the Aston Martin Zagato design language. How limited you ask? Well, in order to get your hands on one of the DBS GT Zagatos, you’ll have to also get a DB4 GT Zagato Continuation. The £6 million ($7.48 million) pair forms what Aston calls the DBZ Centenary Collection, with only 19 examples of each set to be made. Aston Martin‘s upcoming mid-engine hypercar, the AM-RB 003, will be officially known as the Valhalla. The car is named after the warrior’s paradise as it was celebrated in ancient Norse mythology, while also helping the British automaker carry on its long-standing tradition of V-named models. Aston Martin has just launched a special edition version of the potent DBS Superleggera to celebrate the 50th anniversary of James Bond classic On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Fittingly named “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera” (quite a mouthful that one…), the British supercar sports a number of distinctive elements such as diamond turned forged wheels and carbon fiber splitter and aero blades, a bespoke grille and a special Olive Green paint scheme. Inside, customers will be welcomed with pure black leather trimming accented by grey blend Alcanatara, just like the original Aston Martin DBS from 1969. There are also a number of red accents found throughout the cabin, including the glovebox, center console, and seats. The Aston Martin Vantage AMR has just been unveiled as the first variant in the new Vantage family to be sold with a manual transmission. Like the new Vantage we’ve all come to know and love, the Vantage AMR is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine pumping out 503 hp and and 460 lb-ft (625 Nm) of torque. This engine is mounted as low and as far back in the chassis as possible to give the British sports car a near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. The big difference with the Vantage AMR and the regular model is that the former comes standard with a motorsport-inspired seven-speed manual transmission from Graziano. This gearbox features a dog-leg first gear with second to seventh gears in a traditional double H-pattern configuration. Aston Martin is upping its performance game by unveiling the new DBS Superleggera Volante. Billed as the fastest convertible ever made by Aston Martin, the DBS Superleggera Volante has a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine that produces 715 hp (533 kW / 725 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds and 0-100 mph (161 km/h) in 6.7 seconds. Given enough room, the model will eventually top out at 211 mph (340 km/h). Styling largely carries over from the coupe, but Aston Martin says the model has been equipped with deeper side strakes which draw more air from the front wheel arches to reduce lift and aid high-speed stability. The long-awaited Aston Martin Rapide E has just been unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show. The British car manufacturer has been developing the vehicle for a number of years and the finished product adopts a design which separates it from traditionally-powered Rapide models. The Rapide E will also be Aston Martin’s first car built at its new St Athan production facility. Aston Martin worked with Williams Advanced Engineering to create the model. Underpinning the vehicle is an 800V electric architecture and a 65 kWh battery encased in carbon fiber and Kevlar and complete with over 5600 ltihium-ion 18650 format cylindrical cells. This battery pack is found where the 6.0-liter V12 of the Rapide usually resides and sends power to a pair of electric motors driving the rear axle with 601 hp 700 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. Fresh off presenting not one, but three all-new supercars at the recent Geneva Motor Show, Aston Martin is also releasing a new, limited-run model named the DBS GT Zagato. Previewed in a few official renderings, it’s been created to mark the 100th anniversary of the Italian design house and almost 60 years of collaboration between the two companies. Essentially a re-bodied version of the DBS Superleggera, the new DBS GT Zagato will be sold as part of the DBZ Centenary Collection and will be made in just 19 examples. Each one comes with a DB4 GT Zagato Continuation as well and costs a whopping £6 million ($7.9/€7 million) in the United Kingdom, before taxes. Aston Martin’s coming for the likes of the Tesla Model X and Jaguar I-Pace with what they call “the future of the luxury SUV” – the Lagonda All-Terrain Concept. Celebrating its world premiere at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, it offers a glimpse into the Lagonda design language first seen in the Vision Concept, and just like the latter, it’s been partly inspired by the world of super yachts. The nautical elements are mostly visible at the back, where the rear overhang has been overstretched. Elsewhere, the All-Terrain Concept has a clean exterior design, with slender headlights, subtle creases on the hood, sporty roofline and light strip at the rear.
