The Mercedes-AMG S65 Final Edition that will be officially unveiled in Geneva is offered exclusively in an Obsidian Black metallic finish. Mercedes-AMG has contrasted the black paint with a silver front grille, matte bronze 20-inch alloy wheels and additional bronze accents on the side skirts, front bumper, and rear bumper. The Final Edition also includes gloss black exhaust tips, a distinctive badge on the C-pillars, and a ‘One Man – One Engine’ plaque finished in black on top of the mighty V12. Inside, the Mercedes-AMG S65 Final Edition is bathed in beautiful black leather and includes a number of aluminum and carbon fiber accents, copper-colored stitching and a tweaked steering wheel. The Mercedes SLK was a huge hit when it was launched in 1996, but its popularity has faded with time. In the United States, sales peaked at 12,930 units in 2000. Those are some pretty decent numbers, but SLC sales fell to 1,993 units last year. Given the drop in demand, it’s not that surprising Mercedes is ending production of the SLC later this year, without having communicated any plans for a successor. For now, what we know for sure is that they’re sending off the current SLC with a special Final Edition. Designed to pay tribute to the iconic roadster, the SLC Final Edition features a number of unique touches. The US-spec SLC 300 has a Selenite Grey exterior with gloss black accents and 18-inch alloy wheels. The Beetle has reached the end of the road as Volkswagen of America has announced the iconic model will be going out of production in 2019. Volkswagen is marking the occasion by introducing a Beetle Final Edition which will be available as a coupe and convertible. The model draw inspiration from the 2003 Beetle Última Edición (Last Edition) which celebrated the end of first-generation Beetle production in Mexico. As a result, the 2019 Beetle Final Edition will be available in two unique colors – Safari Uni and Stonewashed Blue – which pay tribute to the Beetle Última Edición which was only available in beige and light blue. Customers can also order an assortment of other colors including Pure White, Deep Black Pearl and Platinum Grey. As the Aston Martin Vanquish enters the final phase of its production life, the British marque has unveiled a limited-edition model, dubbed the Vanquish S Ultimate. Limited to just 175 units worldwide, customers will have the option of buying the Vanquish S Ultimate in Coupe or Volante guise in one of three different exterior color schemes and interior trim packages. The first of these ‘Designer Themes’ sees the car painted in Ultimate Black and complemented by Copper Bronze accents on the front air intake, side sills, and rear diffuser. Additionally, the car has numerous carbon fiber accents and an interior featuring Obsidian Black leather with Chestnut Tan accents, stitching, and carbon. With a new G-Class in development, Mercedes has decided to start guiding the current models towards the exit, this time with a special "final" edition for the G65 AMG version. The Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition is said to "reflect the successful story of the world's most powerful series production off-roader". It will come out in just 65 examples worldwide, and each one starts at €310,233 in Germany, which equals to $365,213 at today's exchange rates. At its heart, it carries a 6.0-liter V12 lump, with twin turbochargers and multi-spark ignition, making 630PS (621hp) and 1,000Nm (738lb-ft) of torque. Transferring the output to all four corners is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Naught to 100km/h (62mph) takes just 5.3sec, and top speed is electronically limited to 230km/h (143mph). Holden is  sending off  the final locally-made Commodore with a host of revisions for 2017 and a number of special editions. The standard 2017 Commodore range has been revised with the removal of the SS-V and Calais Sportwagon models and now just consists of the Evoke, Calais, Calais V, SV6, SS, SS-V Redline and Caprice V. All of these versions benefit from a selection of minor trim upgrades (available below) and three new colors dubbed Spitfire Green, Light My Fire and Son of a Gun Grey. The lineup has also been simplified with the six-speed manual transmission now exclusively reserved for V8 sedan and ute models.
