In preparation for the upcoming release of Forza Motorsport 7, SCUF Gaming have collaborated with Porsche and Turn 10 Studios to design an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller inspired by the 2018 911 GT2 RS. The face of the limited-edition controller mixes silver with red and black accents just like the interior of the 700 hp-strong 911. At the rear, the controller includes a small Porsche badge and handles crafted from the same hand-stitched Alcantara as the car. Porsche's 2018 911 GT2 RS is not only the most powerful 911 ever, but also the fastest one on the Nurburgring. Moreover, it's also the fastest rear-wheel drive production car to have lapped the famous German track, after it managed to cover the 20.6km (12.8-mile) run in just 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds. The wait is over, Porsche has finally revealed the most powerful road-legal 911 ever in the form of the new GT2 RS. The German company pulled the wraps off their new beast at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the numbers are just jaw-dropping: the twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six pumps out 690 horses (700PS), allowing for a 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds (0-60mph in 2.7). The engine is mated to a customised seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic (no manual is available) that enables “power to be transferred with uninterrupted traction”. Flat-out it’ll do 211mph (340km/h). The engine is based on the unit found in the Turbo S model, only now it features larger turbochargers, an additional water-spray cooling system and a bespoke lightweight titanium exhaust system. Marking its first appearance in an official environment, and with no plastic cladding or vinyl wraps covering its beautiful body, the extreme machine from Stuttgart is expected to be fully revealed by the automaker later this year. And when they finally release all the details on it, expect it to use a twin-turbo flat-six engine that pushes approximately 650hp, with some reports going as far as 700hp, to the road through the only transmission available - a dual-clutch PDK. Porsche has confirmed that the upcoming 911 GT2 RS won’t get a manual transmission despite a stick shift recently being introduced for the facelifted GT3. During an interview at the Geneva Motor Show, Porsche chief executive Oliver Blume remained quite tight-lipped about the model and simply said that a new “GT2” is in the works. “In the past it was a very famous model of the 911, and maybe in the future we will have a GT2 as well. For the GT2 it’s very typical to have big power combined with the turbo engine. Today we can’t talk about the power, but when we launch the car I think you will see at which level we can get to with the car. And we’re still working at it,” he told Car Advice.
