2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S: The Original Supercar Killer Is Back With 650 PS And A 205 MPH Top Speed

Image
Porsche has officially unveiled the new 911 Turbo S in both Coupe and Convertible forms, following a long series of leaks and very revealing spy shots that basically spilled the beans long before today. As expected, the new Porsche 911 Turbo S distinguishes itself from lesser models with slightly more aggressive front bumper, the characteristic side air intakes and that lovely rear end with a pair of either oval-shaped or quad exhaust tips and that extendable rear spoiler. That rear wing in coordination with the front extendable spoiler give the new 911 Turbo S 100 kg (220 lbs) of downforce at 205 mph (330 km/h). The body of the new 992-based 911 Turbo S is 1.8 inches (45 mm) wider on the front wings and 0.8 inches (20mm) wider at the rear than the previous model. Weight is also up by 50 kg (110 lbs) but that easily corrected by the added firepower. Power for the new 911 Turbo S comes from a new twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six engine, an evolution of the Carrera’s 3.0-li...

Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Debuts With 670 HP

Image
Porsche has introduced the new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe. Set to arrive in the United States early next year, the models have a plug-in hybrid powertrain that features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 541 hp (403 kW / 548 PS). It’s backed up by an electric motor that develops an additional 134 hp (100 kW / 136 PS). This enables the crossovers to have a combined output of 670 hp (550 kW / 679 PS) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The electric motor is powered by a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery and is sandwiched between the V8 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This setup enables the two motors to work together or independently. When the electric motor is doing all the work, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid can travel up to 24.8 miles (40 km) on electricity alone. In terms of performance, the crossovers can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.6 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h). ...

Porsche has introduced the new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo. Set to be sold alongside the hatchback variant, the range-topping plug-in hybrid wagon has a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 550 PS (404 kW). Thanks to all-wheel drive and its impressive output, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 310 km/h (192 mph). More importantly, the model averages 3.0 L/100 km (78.4 mpg US / 94.1 mpg UK) and can travel up to 49 km (30.4 miles) on electricity alone. Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series Unveiled With An Additional 27 HP

Porsche has taken the wraps off the new 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. Billed as the "most powerful and unique 911 Turbo S" ever created, the special edition sports car has a Golden Yellow Metallic exterior with carbon fiber stripes on the roof and hood. New Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Is A 671HP PHEV That Hits 62MPH In 3.4 Sec

Image
With a combined output of 671hp (680PS) from its turbocharged V8 and electric motor, Porsche’s new wild Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the most powerful model in the brand’s range right now, second only to the discontinued 918 Spyder that has 875hp. Not impressed yet? How about a 0-100km/h run in blazing 3.4 seconds (0-60mph in 3.2 sec) and a top speed of 310km/h (193mph). To put that into perspective, it almost matches the latest 493hp (500PS) 911 GT3 RS that completes the sprint in 3.3 seconds and has the same exact top speed. True, it lags the pure-electric Tesla Model S P100D’s 0-60mph (96km/h) time of 2.28 seconds, but it puts it right up there with the very best. Sitting at the top of the Panamera range, the Turbo S E-Hybrid ditches the V6 powertrain of Porsche’s other hybrid, the 456hp (462PS) 4 E-Hybrid, for the regular Turbo S’ 542hp (550PS) 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that is paired to a 134hp (136PS) electric motor. Combined, the two deliver a maximum output of 671hp (680...
