Audi was late to the crossover coupe game, but they’re making up for lost time by introducing the 2020 Q3 Sportback. Based on the standard Q3, the Sportback features a sportier appearance as it adopts a black Singleframe grille and trapezoidal air intakes. The crossover also has a sculpted hood and optional Matrix LED headlights. The sporty styling continues further back as the designers gave the model chiseled bodywork which is contrasted by flowing lines above the wheel arches. Of course, the biggest changes are the sloping roofline and upward sweeping beltline. This helps to give the model a more dynamic appearance and Audi says it helps to make the crossover look longer than the standard Q3. Other notable styling features include plastic body cladding, a rakish rear window and a stylish rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. To give you an idea of just how old the first-generation Audi Q3 is, imagine that its design was based on the Cross Coupe quattro concept, which was first drawn up back in 2006. This all-new second generation model was long overdue. Right off the bat, it’s obvious that Audi wanted to leave the old Q3’s styling in the dust, by making this new crossover look more aggressive from just about every angle, giving the BMW X1 a worthy opponent to play with. This new Q3 actually shares some of the Q8’s design elements, especially when it comes to its profile. It also has vertical grille bars like the Q8, or the A4/A6 Allroad duo. Late last month, Cadillac surprised the world as they took the wraps off the latest addition to their lineup, a compact CUV called the XT4. It's more of the same, yet something completely new from the American luxury carmaker. More of the same because it's very similar to the larger XT5, and something different because it's the first time Cadillac has made a compact luxury crossover. Think of it as a potential ATS replacement. Since the luxury crossover segment is a rapidly growing one, it's no surprise Cadillac has jumped on the bandwagon with it's second CUV, to sit alongside the larger XT5. Audi may be prepping the  second generation Q3  for its market launch, but it seems that the current model is still far away from taking its last breath.  The popular compact crossover, which is no longer the smallest one in the range after the introduction of the  Q2  earlier this year is entering the MY2017 with a bunch of  visual updates , including a more aggressive front end in the Sport trim.  The facelift brings larger outer air inlets, Stone Gray-finished grille, and a blade beneath the center inlet carries the  same color  as the rest of the body.
