Apollo Intensa Emozione Supercar Debuts With A Design That Would Make Pagani Jealous

Image
Apollo is back with an entirely new product that debuted today under the Intensa Emozione moniker, or IE for short. It's aimed at enthusiasts with deep pockets who would rather go for a modern supercar with a naturally aspirated V12 engine, rather than some of the eco-friendly machines currently available on the market, or in development. At its heart lies a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that feeds 780PS (769hp) and 760Nm (561lb-ft) of torque to the wheels, through a sequential 6-speed gearbox, with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The new Apollo IE has a curb weight of just 1,250kg (2,756lbs) and takes 2.7sec to reach 100km/h (62mph) , from a standstill, before topping out at 335km/h (208mph). Beneath the skin, it features a carbon fiber monocoque with crash boxes, race car-inspired suspension, and carbon ceramic brakes made by Brembo. On the outside, the supercar benefits from advanced aerodynamics, all wrapped under a design that can only...

Apollo's 1,000HP Arrow Did Not Fail City Of Geneva

Image
For all intents and purposes, Apollo believe  their brand new Arrow  is so spectacular, it's worthy of the hypercar moniker. Before it could be called anything, this car first needed to be lightweight, which is why Apollo aimed for 1,300 kg as their target, ensuring that downforce performance at a set velocity allows the car's mass to be neutralized. In terms of looks, the company applied a radically different aerodynamic treatment , allowing it to remain visually striking, yet having improved drag/downforce ratios as well as enhanced cooling performance. Though this is a slightly less aggressive car compared to what we're  used to seeing from Apollo , it can also be consider as being more modern-looking. Apollo even goes on to compare its aesthetics with those of a shark moving through water, giving the Arrow the appearance of motion even when standing still. Yes, design fluidity goes a long way - though we're not exactly displeased with how bonkers their previous c...

Apollo Drops New Teaser Images Of Arrow Supercar

Image
Alongside the  ApolloN , which is promising to be the world's fastest car, a second supercar by Apollo will debut at next week's Geneva Motor Show. Details about the  Arrow  are minimal, but three new teaser images reveal it will be unlike any other to wear the  Apollo badge . The most revealing image shows off the sleek and futuristic rear decklid that includes a small roof scoop and a large rear wing. A blacked-out central spine is also visible as is a distinct crease down the roof. Meanwhile, a second picture shows off the Arrow's front fascia that includes a carbon fiber splitter and carbon air intake surround while a third image displays the rear quarter of the German supercar alongside a number of carbon elements and sticky Michelin tires.

Apollo Teases "Fastest Road Car On The Planet", The ApolloN

Image
Bugatti may not have unveiled the  Chiron  just yet, but the hypercar apparently has a challenger, which promises to be even faster.  The car is called ApolloN and it will be produced by  Apollo Automobil GmbH , previously known as Gumpert, which was acquired by Team Venture, owner of De Tomaso.  The image posted on their Facebook pace reveals the "ApolloN" moniker , blacked out roof and A pillars, extended side skirts, large wheel arches covering the multi-spoke wheels with Michelin tires and what seem to be carbon ceramic brakes with red calipers.  Apollo did not have much to say about its powerful machine: " Today we are still building the fastest road car on the planet, we are and we will always be a force in the restive advance of performance, and for us as engineers, this is reason enough. Here we present you ApolloN. ApolloN will mark the first milestone of Apollo Automobil. Stay tuned for the new chapter ." We don't know yet if the...
