We already knew that a new version of the Ford GT was coming at Goodwood – and this is it: the Mk2, an enhanced version of the racer that cannot be driven on public roads – nor any existing series, for that matter. The Blue Oval is asking $1.2 million (€1.063 million at current exchange rates) for each of the 45 units it will put together. In return for spending the 7-digit sum, customers get the track-only supercar that’s been developed by Ford Performance and its engineering partner Multimatic with aerodynamic upgrades and more power. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 has been tuned to deliver 700 horsepower. That’s 200 hp more than the racer that is constrained by racing regulations, and makes the Mk2 the most powerful version of the GT yet. The BAC Mono has just received the most important update since its launch in 2011. It’s called the Mono R and BAC says it’s all-new, though it looks very much like an evolution of the single-seater supercar. Described as a higher-performance, lighter and more advanced new generation of the iconic Mono, the GEN2 model is 35 hp more powerful and 25 kg (55 lbs) lighter than the standard Mono. With 340 hp (345 PS) and 555 kg (1,224 lbs), it offers a stunning power-to-weight ratio of 612 hp-per-tonne. Additionally, the naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine co-developed with Mountune claims the highest normally aspirated specific output of all time for a road-legal model, at 136 hp per liter. Aston Martin has confirmed reports that the road-legal Valkyrie hypercar will be available with an AMR Track Performance Pack. The British automaker has also detailed the personalization programme for the vehicle. As the name of the AMR Track Performance Pack suggests, it will make the road-legal Valkyrie that little bit faster on a racetrack but not quite rival the track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro. The performance pack includes a new aerodynamic front clam to improve downforce and efficiency, lightweight titanium brakes, matte black magnesium performance wheels, a carbon fiber aero wheel disk set, and track-focused suspension. Aston Martin says the alterations will make the Valkyrie roughly 8 per cent quicker than the standard model. Customers that opt for the AMR Track Performance Pack will also be provided with a second set of all exterior body panels. Following a lengthy teaser campaign, Brabham Automotive has finally unveiled the new BT62. Designed specifically as a track-only supercar, the BT62 is undeniably aggressive as it has a carbon fiber body with front fender vents and aerodynamic side skirts. The car has also been equipped with a massive front splitter, a large rear wing and a center-mounted dual exhaust system. The BT62 rides on center-locking 18-inch wheels which are shod in bespoke Michelin racing tires. The aggressive styling isn’t just for looks as Brabham says the model should produce more than 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) of downforce. The extensive use of carbon fiber and carbon Kevlar also means the model weighs just 972 kg (2,142 lbs) dry. The track-focused design is evident in the cabin as drivers sit in FIA-spec carbon fiber racing seats with six-point harnesses. Lotus is preparing to usher out the 3-Eleven and replace it (and the rest of the range) with a new generation of lightweight sports cars. But not before it makes one last version of the superlight speedster. Called the 3-Eleven 430, the ultimate edition of the most hardcore Lotus to date packs the company’s biggest engine into its lightest model. That means a 3.5-liter supercharged V6, kicking out 430 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed manual gearbox. No trick all-wheel-drive system, no dual-cluch transmissions… just a power-to-weight ratio of 467 hp per metric ton. With just 2,028 pounds to motivate – 11 fewer than before – the new 3-Eleven 430 will hustle to 60 in just 3.1 seconds and top out at 180 miles per hour with the wind in your face (or hopefully a full-face helmet). Yet the FXX-K does exactly that – and now Ferrari's rolled out an even more advanced version. Presented for the first time this weekend at the Finali Mondiali event at Mugello, the new FXX-K Evo represents the bleeding edge of what Ferrari's engineers are capable of in the form of a track-only driving tool that's bound to the rules of neither the road nor any racing series. The Evo package represents a significant increase in downforce: 23 percent over the existing FXX-K, and an amazing 75 percent over the road-going LaFerrari. Designed for drivers who need a high-performance car for the track and a fast sports coupe for everyday road use, the all-new Chevrolet Camaro Track Concept is here to impress in Geneva. It's enhanced using official Chevy performance parts solely offered in the US, with an adequate selection becoming available in Europe in the near future. Powering it is a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which produces 453 PS (446 HP) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft) of torque, and works in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission, with paddle shifters. The automaker is keeping performance numbers a secret for now. Some of the cool features that can be found on the new muscle car include the Magnetic Ride Suspension, which lowers the ride height by 30 mm (1.2 in), an electronic limited-slip differential that is said to be segment-exclusive, dual-mode performance exhaust, and Brembo performance brakes. Chevrolet has released an intriguing teaser image of a special Camaro concept, set to debut at this week’s Geneva Motor Show 2017 in Switzerland. Dubbed the Camaro Track concept, the vehicle won’t be an all-out performance monster like the recently-release ZL1 1LE. Instead, it appears to be based around the existing Camaro SS and outfitted with the optional 1LE package. Some of its most intriguing styling elements include the bright green paint scheme, Brembo brakes, lowered suspension, 20-inch wheels, plus black across the side skirts and front splitter. Further details about the model are non-existent and it remains unclear why Chevrolet is opting to reveal it in Europe considering that the standard model is only available at a handful of dealerships across the Atlantic.
