2018 TLX Revealed: Boasts New Look, Things You Might Like

The rule of three suggests that when things come in threes, they are inherently more satisfying and effective. Apparently, Acura agrees. For the mid-cycle update of the TLX, the Japanese brand focused on refining three elements: styling, trims and tech. Starting with the design, the 2018 TLX is the latest Acura to say goodbye to the much ridiculed chrome beak and in its place, comes a more conventional ‘diamond pentagon’ grille. It also gets new headlamps that maintain the ‘Jewel Eye’ units with LED turn signals, a new bumper, more sculpted hood, fenders, tweaked tail lamps, and different rear bumper fascia and exhaust finishers. The second reason Acura thinks the refreshed TLX is worth it is the addition of a new sportier A-Spec edition that’s available exclusively with the 290hp 3.5-liter V6 in both two-wheel drive and SH-AWD configurations. 2018 Acura TLX Gets A Beakless Design For NY Auto Show

The 2017 MDX became the first beakless Acura in years, and now the TLX is getting ready to follow it. Designed by the brand's Studio in Torrance, California, the 2018 Acura TLX has a redesigned front end, inspired by the Precision Concept that debuted last year at NAIAS. Acura released a teaser image that reveals a grille similar to the one used on the latest MDX, a new front bumper and redesigned headlights, which are likely joined by a tweaked rear end, with a fresh pattern for the taillights. "The 2018 TLX will receive new styling elements that ratchet up its emotion and reflect Acura's focus on Precision Crafted Performance. Acura customers embraced the MDX when we raised its game with bold, new styling, and we're pumped to show how we're elevating the TLX experience", commented the brand's VP and General Manager, Jon Ikeda. Make Your New TLX Sportier With Acura's GT Package

Acura have taken their  racing heritage  to the streets with a new GT Package, which is aimed at the TLX.  Fitting both the  2016 and 2017 model years  of the sedan, the suite of accessories adds a front spoiler, side sill garnishes, rear underbody spoiler, and a discreet boot-mounted wing, along with an optional set of Diamond Cut wheels, 19-inch in size.  The new TLX GT Package is already available for order at select Acura dealers across the nation. Moreover, the car company will also display it at the  Las Vegas Convention Center , from November 1 to 4, during the 2016 SEMA Show.  In the meantime, we will remind you that the  Acura TLX  has been taken into the 2017MY with modest updates that include three new colors.
