Designed to be even more exclusive than the standard Maybach S-Class, the S680 has a handcrafted twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 738 lb-ft (1,001 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system. This enables the Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost competitor to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds, before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h). Speaking of performance, the model is rear-biased as 69% of the engine’s torque goes to the rear wheels.  The massive sedan also features rear-axle steering to help improve maneuverability. Mercedes has revealed the new EQB, the all-electric variant of the GLB and seven-seater sibling of the EQA, at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, alongside the flagship EQS electric luxury saloon. The German carmaker is showing off the China-specific version of the EQB, which is going to be produced in Beijing and go on sale later this year. The European version will also be launched in 2021, while US-spec models will arrive stateside in 2022. Global versions of the new EQB will be produced at the carmaker’s factory in Kecskemét, Hungary. The new electric Mercedes SUV will be launched in China in top-of-the-range AMG Line form with an output of 288 HP. Mercedes will offer the new EQB in several configurations, with front- and all-wheel-drive, as well as different power outputs and battery pack sizes, starting from 66.5 kWh. We’ve already seen the incredible 56-inch, triple-display, Hyperscreen dashboard inside the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS, and today we finally get to see if the rest of the package has the wow factor to match it. And while the production EQS doesn’t look quite as beautiful as 2019’s voluptuous Vision EQS concept, this EV alternative to the traditional S-class looks nothing like your usual Benz luxury car. It’s different under the skin, too. The EQS rides on a brand new dedicated EV platform that we’ll see more of next year when the smaller EQE is launched. At 207.3 inches (5265mm) from its stylish black nose to its smooth tail in US spec, the EQS is closer in length to the long-wheelbase S-class about to launch in North America than it is the short-wheelbase version offered elsewhere. Mercedes has taken the wraps off the facelifted CLS, which looks to reassert itself as the definitive four-door coupe. Looking instantly recognizable, the 2022 CLS features a revised grille and a sportier front bumper. The model also has restyled wheels and a new paint job called spectral blue metallic (starling blue metallic in the US).  Customers looking for something more exclusive can opt for new designo colors called jupiter red, cashmere white magno and emerald green. Interior changes are relatively minor, but include a new steering wheel with a two-zone sensor pad in the rim that detects your hands. This should help to prevent erroneous warnings when using the CLS’ semi-autonomous driving technology. Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled their latest interpretation of the C-Class. One of the company’s most valued models, the C-Class, has long been the junior-executive class’s champion, with 10.5 million units sold since 1982. For several years, it was the entry-point to Mercedes-Benz ownership, to which many aspired. Nowadays, with multiple “A” and “B” models, the C-Class is no longer an entry-level product. However, it remains a pillar of Mercedes’ brand strategy, along with other legacy nameplates such as the E-Class and S-Class. The new C-Class Sedan brings with it some noticeable changes to the C philosophy. The concept of downsizing has been embraced, with all six-cylinder and V8 power plants shown the door. Mercedes has just unveiled the new EQA, the brand’s smallest EV to date and the entry point of the EQ model range. Based on the Mercedes GLA, the new EQA debuts in its base EQA 250 form which uses an electric motor with 187 HP (190 PS) and 276 lb-ft (375 Nm) of torque driving the front wheels and fed by a 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Mercedes hasn’t finalized yet the WLTP test cycle of the EQA 250, saying it offers an estimated 264 miles (426 km) of driving range on a full charge. The NEDC driving range -which is generally more generous than WLTP- is 302 miles (486 km). The Mercedes EQA 250 will be followed by more variants of the new compact electric crossover; the German carmaker says that it’s working on “a whole family of EQA models”, which will offer front- and all-wheel-drive, a power output of over 268 HP in the flagship variant, as well as a special version with a driving range of over 310 miles (500 km) on the WLTP. Mercedes has a new luxury king in its range in the form of the 2021 Maybach S-Class, an ultra-posh take on the already pretty loaded S-Class primarily designed for chauffeured driving. The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class features an 18 cm (7 inches) longer wheelbase, at 3396 mm (133.7 inches), offering an even more spacious environment for the rear passengers compared to its predecessor. There’s also an “active noise compensation” system that sends counter-phased audio signals to cancel road noise before it reaches the occupants’ ears. Depending on the market, customers will get to choose between the Mercedes-Maybach S580 4Matic, which is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 making 496 HP and has a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that provides an extra 21 HP, and the V12-powered S650, which will continue using the twin-turbo 6.0-liter unit with 621 HP, possibly combined with all-wheel-drive as well. Following countless spy shots, leaks, and official teasers, it’s finally time for the new 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class to show itself to the world. Mercedes is hosting the debut of their new luxury flagship sedan at a special live-streamed event, showcasing a very long list of new features that aim to offer a brand new sense of luxury to both the driver and occupants. The exterior design of the new Mercedes S-Class is not going to rewrite the rule books anytime soon, offering instead a classy -and safe- appearance for the big German saloon. Most design cues are shared with other models in the range, including the headlights and taillights as well as the new-style front grille, making features like the new pop-out door handles stand out when looking for highlights on the outside. Mercedes-Benz has spread out its mid-cycle facelift for the E-Class with the presentation of the 2021 sedan, wagon and All Terrain Wagon in March this year being followed today by the unveiling of the long teased Coupe and Convertible models in both regular and E53 AMG forms. It’s nothing groundbreaking with the revised two-door variants sporting minor exterior and interior styling tweaks, new technologies and updated powertrain offerings. Mercedes has a good thing going with the E-Class Coupe and Convertible, as admittedly, both are some of the most elegant looking proposals in the market. As such, there was no reason to ruin a successful formula with deep styling cuts. The most noticeable changes are the newly shaped grille and crispier light treatments on both ends, with the nose looking more upright this time around.
