Pininfarina Battista Is An EV With More Power Than A Bugatti Chiron

Automobili Pininfarina has unveiled the all-new Battista which is being billed as the “world’s first luxury electric hyper performance GT.” Currently on display in Geneva, the Battista has a stylish design that recalls a handful of other Pininfarina models including the Ferrari Sergio. However, this particular model has a sporty front fascia with a distinctive LED lighting strip. Moving further back, we can see flowing bodywork and a teardrop-shaped cockpit with a long roof. Other notable styling features include ‘floating’ taillights and an active rear wing that features an air brake function. The model also has 21-inch lightweight wheels that are backed up by six-piston carbon-ceramic braking system. The driver-focused cockpit has a carbon fiber steering wheel and a minimalist digital instrument cluster. Pininfarina’s 1,900 HP Electric Hypercar Will Be Called Battista

Automobili Pininfarina has announced the name of the electric hypercar that will have its world premiere at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Italy’s most powerful and fastest car will be called Battista, as an homage to company founder Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina. The timing of the market launch in late 2020 has been arranged to coincide with the 90th anniversary of Carrozzeria Pininfarina, the famous design house which now starts a new chapter as an automaker. “This is genuinely a dream come true. My grandfather always had the vision that one day there would be a stand-alone range of Pininfarina-branded cars. This hypercar will boast world-beating performance, technological innovation and of course elegant styling. For me, we simply had to call it Battista,” said Pininfarina SpA chairman, Paolo Pininfarina.
