At Goodwood, McLaren has announced its new Track25 business plan, aimed at taking the British automaker well into the next decade. Among the milestones set by the Track25 roadmap is to ensure that McLaren’s entire sports car and supercar range will feature hybrid power within the next seven years, among them a new Ultimate Series that will succeed the petrol-electric P1. McLaren will also evaluate new augmented driving features in order to develop a lighter, superfast-charging, high-power battery system for performance applications, expected to offer more than 30 minutes of electric range around a race track. The soon-to-open McLaren Composites Technology Center (MCTC) will be where the automaker will develop and manufacture lightweight technology. Once operational, the MCTC will ensure that roughly 57% of vehicle content by value will be UK-sourced. McLaren celebrated the start of the full production of the new 720S with the completion of the first example, finished in Glacier White. The second generation of the Super Series, codenamed P14, opens a new chapter in McLaren’s history as it replaces the P11 model family that kickstarted the whole company around six years ago. Powered by a new twin-turbocharged V8, the second-generation McLaren Super Series will hit a standing 1/4 mile in the low 10s. Making its official debut on March 7th at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show, the all-new Super Series range from McLaren will blur the lines between supercars and hypercars. Drivers will be able to hit 200 km/h (124 mph) from a standstill in just 7.8 seconds, and cover a standing quarter mile in 10.3 seconds, with the help of a crisp-sounding 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, featuring engine bay illumination as part of the "welcome sequence" upon vehicle unlocking. McLaren's  second-generation Super Series , likely to be dubbed the 720S, will make its debut at this year's Geneva Motor Show in March, showcasing an advanced new generation of the automaker's multi-mode Proactive Chassis Control tech. Whether drivers will be selecting Comfort, Sport or Track mode, the Proactive Chassis Control II system will make sure to deliver the optimal "balance of cornering grip, dynamic response and comfort", best suited to the individual mode as well as exterior conditions. The new system uses 12 more sensors than it did on  previous Super Series models , including an accelerometer on each wheel hub, reading inputs from the road while measuring tire contact patch. McLaren officially confirmed that the 650S successor will be revealed in Geneva, showing us for the first time the second-generation carbon fiber Monocage II tub. Codenamed P14,  the model that will replace the 650S  in McLaren’s lineup will reportedly carry the 720S nameplate and according to the company, will tip the scales at just 1,283kg, which is 18kg less than a 650S with “comparable specification”. McLaren says that their new Super Series models will be the lightest in its class, thanks to the new Monocage II carbon tub. The first image of McLaren's 688 High Sport has popped up on the web, showing an even more extreme version of the already hardcore, 675LT thanks to  McLaren Life . Despite being  spied without camouflage , leaked in  numerous renderings  and according to some, already having been delivered to customers, McLaren has remained very quiet about the car so far. As its name suggests, the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 has been upgraded to  688 PS  (678 HP), while the weight has been reduced by around 40 kg (88 lbs).  The image reveals that the 688 is adorned with a plethora of aerodynamic elements to make it even more track-oriented than the 675 LT. At the front, the British supercar includes four carbon fiber canards, air extractors on the front wheel arches and a large roof scoop. McLaren will widen the gap between its newly launched  Sports Series  and Super Series range with the introduction of the next-gen 650S and 675LT. Equipped with a similar setup as the  P1 hypercar , the new vehicle, code-named P14, will adopt a hybrid powertrain, with an updated twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 serving as the centerpiece and a lighter electrification system.
