Lincoln has pulled the wraps off the 2020 Corsair compact SUV, the all-new replacement of the MKC at the New York Auto Show. As with other newer Lincoln models, the brand’s entry in the compact luxury SUV segment eliminates the alphanumeric moniker of its predecessor for a name that has both nautical and aeronautical connections. The 2020 Corsair slots under the full-size Navigator and three-row Aviator, adopting the brand’s familiar (and successful) design identity. The front end is dominated by the company’s upright grille while the rear is all about that full-width taillight. Lincoln has confirmed the official premiere of the all-new Corsair for April 17, at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The carmaker hasn’t said anything else about the new SUV, but it did drop a teaser, which provides a first official look at the MKC’s replacement and the brand’s smallest SUV. Recent prototypes indicate that it will look like a smaller Aviator, with a simpler lower styling at the front, LED headlights and an evolved clam-shell tailgate. It will also have a slightly slopped roofline to give it a sportier vibe. The cabin design is expected to be more luxurious than the one of the MKC, with chrome and wood trims, as well as high-quality leather. Those willing to spend even more on the upcoming Corsair will be able to specify the Black Label package, mimicking the equipment offered in its larger sibling. Lincoln has officially brought back suicide doors, or coach doors, albeit in a limited edition version of the Continental. Baptized the Lincoln Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition, it will be put together in just 80 units for the 2019MY, with a limited number to arrive the following year as well. All of them benefit from 90-degree opening rear doors, which facilitate ingress and egress, as well as an electronic door system that makes entry and exit effortless and quiet. Thanks to the extra 6 inches (15.24 cm) added to the wheelbase, it also delivers best-in-class legroom at the back, on the two individual seats, according to the automaker. Greeting occupants is a special door plaque that shows the car’s number in the run, and once inside, they’ll find a stowable tray with tablet holder and wireless charging pad at the back. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator has been unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Arguably, one of the best looking production Lincolns of recent years, it remains very close to the concept that shared the same name earlier this year. Envisioned as Lincoln’s answer to a growing mid-size luxury market, the Aviator inspires to become one of the brand’s best selling models. Lincoln, in case you hadn’t noticed, is in the process of comprehensively revitalizing its lineup. And just as it did with the new Continental and Navigator, the American luxury marque is previewing the next addition to the lineup with the concept vehicle you see here. Presented at the New York Auto Show (right in arch-rival Cadillac’s backyard) is the new Lincoln Aviator concept, forecasting a new SUV to revive a nameplate we last saw a dozen years ago. Like its predecessor, the three-row sport-ute would slot in underneath the larger Navigator. Only this time, the Aviator is far more than a gussied-up Explorer. In fact it’s not even based on the same platform. Lincoln recently released the first teaser video for the Aviator concept and now the company has followed up by confirming plans for a production variant. This was widely expected but the most interesting reveal was the confirmation that the company is planning to launch a second utility vehicle in the next two years. Lincoln declined to say what the second vehicle is, but noted it will help them grow their “utility portfolio.” Little is known about the model but it will apparently become the brand’s fifth utility vehicle as it will join the Aviator, Nautilus, Navigator and MKC. Of course, there’s always the possibility the “all-new” model will replace the MKC but that seems unlikely as the crossover was recently given a facelift and won’t go on sale until this summer. After waiting all day for Lincoln to show us that mystery vehicle they teased us with yesterday, the 2019 Nautilus SUV has just surfaced on YouTube ahead of schedule. All we knew until today was that this new model was meant to "make a lasting impression", and that it was going to be on display in LA next to the 2019 MKC. What we're finding out though is that the Nautilus isn't exactly all-new, but rather an update for the MKX. The new name also brings with it a new design, where the front end resembles a Continental's, which does help make the SUV look a little more elegant. The rear end however hasn't been changed significantly. In similar fashion to the 2019 MKC, the Nautilus also features a more traditional grille rather than that winged designed you saw on the 2018 MKX. Three years after it went on sale, the Lincoln MKC has been given its first major update, wrapped up under a 2019MY. The biggest change is found at the front, where the Ford Escape-based crossover gets a new grille and headlights, while at the other end, it has tweaked taillights, with LED technology. Inside, it remains virtually unchanged, and customers should expect the same premium materials, joined by the latest SYNC 3 infotainment system, smartphone connectivity, WiFi, USB ports, optional panoramic roof and three Black Label options, among others. SUVs are all the rage nowadays and to cash in, Lincoln has just unveiled its all-new full-size SUV, the 2018 Navigator. Set to debut at the New York Auto Show, the new model has been dramatically overhauled and promises to be more luxurious than ever before. For starters, the body of the 2018 Navigator is made from lightweight aluminium, a change which saves almost 200 pounds on its own. Grunt is then provided by a twin-turbocharged V6 which Lincoln says will produce around 450 hp and be mated to Ford’s new 10-speed automatic transmission. The cabin of the Navigator has been completely re-thought and pushes the vehicle to the upper-echelons of the luxury SUV market. As standard, it comes with three rows of seats and incorporates a unique cargo management system that includes an adjustable shelf behind the rear seats to allow storage to be customized.
