Following last week’s teaser, Porsche has introduced the new 718 Boxster Spyder and the 718 Cayman GT4. Designed to be the pinnacle of the road-going 718 lineup, both models are equipped with a newly developed 4.0-liter boxer engine. The six-cylinder is naturally aspirated and produces 414 hp (309 kW / 420 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which enables both models to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds.  The top speeds are slightly different as the 718 Spyder maxes out at 187 mph (301 km/h), while the 718 GT4 tops out at 189 mph (304 km/h). Speaking of the latter, the 2020 Cayman GT4 can lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife ten seconds faster than its predecessor. Porsche has quietly taken the wraps off the Cayman GT4 Clubsport Rallye concept. Set to debut later this month at Rallye Deutschland, the concept is based on the Cayman GT4 Clubsport and features an assortment of rally specific upgrades. Porsche declined to go into specifics, but the car has auxiliary lighting units and a roof-mounted scoop. We can also see additional underbody paneling, a roll cage and lightweight wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. Like the standard model, the concept likely powered by a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 385 PS (283 kW / 380 hp). It could be paired to a six-speed PDK transmission. Aston Martin Racing has revealed the new Vantage GT3 and GT4 race cars at Le Mans, with the Vantage GT3 to make its racing debut this weekend at the Aston Martin Racing Le Mans Festival. The British marque’s new customer racing cars are derived from the Vantage GTE, which will also participate at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. All three racing versions of the new Aston Martin Vantage are powered by the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 unit found in the road car and optimised by Aston Martin Racing. The Vantage GT3 racing car tips the scales at 1245kg (2,744lbs) dry and produces around 535hp and 700Nm (516lb-ft) of torque, depending on boost pressure. The race car features a steel roll cage, an Xtrac six-speed sequential gearbox, an Alcon multiplate clutch, Öhlins four-way adjustable dampers and Alcon brakes. Renault’s reborn Alpine brand has been getting rave reviews for its new A110 and now, as promised, it’s revealed new versions of its coupe at the Geneva Motor Show. Following the success of the sold-out Premiere Edition, the A110 will now be offered in Pure and Legende trims. The A110 Pure is targeted at driving enthusiasts. It features one-piece Sabelt sports seats that weigh barely more than 13 kilograms (28.6 pounds) each and, combined with other weight-saving measures, helps keep the curb weight below 1,100 kg ( 2,425 lbs). It’s not entirely stripped out, though, and still comes with features like air-conditioning and satellite navigation. Buyers can also add upgraded Brembo brakes and an adaptive exhaust system and can upgrade to the adjustable comfort seats. Those come standard on the Legende model, which is geared more towards every day driving and grand touring and comes with leather upholstery. Mercedes-AMG has confirmed plans to introduce its four-door sports car at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The company is keep details under wraps but they released three teaser images of the model and said it is currently “undergoing testing all over the world.” The car, which has been tentatively dubbed the GT4, was previewed by last year’s Mercedes-AMG GT concept. It features an aggressive front fascia with a Panamericana grille which is flanked by sweptback headlights. The dramatic styling continues further back as there’s a rakish windscreen and a dynamic roofline which echoes the CLS. Despite the styling similarities to the aforementioned model, the GT4 has a unique rear end which features AMG GT-style taillights and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Mercedes has officially revealed the AMG GT4, the latest member of its customer racing programme, at the 24-Hour race of Spa-Francorchamps. The new race car is based on the AMG GT-R road car and -as the name suggests- it aims to compete in the growing GT4 category, once Mercedes delivers the first examples to customer racing teams towards the end of the year. Power comes from the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 which in this case has been tuned to offer up to 510hp and over 442lb-ft (600Nm) of torque. Strapped to it is a transaxle six-speed sequential competition gearbox, with the differential being adjustable from the outside. The chassis and the bodywork are made out of a mix of aluminum and carbon fiber, with the structure being a lightweight and very rigid aluminum spaceframe straight from the AMG GT-R. BMW has officially unveiled the new M4 GT4, following a teaser earlier. Shown during a special event at the Nürburgring, the M4 GT4 features a number of improvements which seek to increase mileage, cost efficiency, and ease of maintenance. The car's engine and transmission are borrowed from the M4 Coupe but the M4 GT4 is the first model from BMW Motorsport to be equipped with power sticks. BMW says they "can be pre-programmed for different engine performance levels" so customers can quickly react to "changes to the Balance of Performance in various races." Besides the new power sticks, the M4 GT4 has a roof, hood, and doors constructed out of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The model also has motorsport-specific front splitters, an adjustable rear wing, and a lightweight racing exhaust system. BMW has dropped a new teaser of its upcoming M4 GT4 race car before the vehicle makes its debut at this weekend’s 24 Hours of Nurburgring. The car won’t compete competitively at the race and instead use the event as its first official test. Piloting BMW’s private racing car will be Dirk Adorf, Ricky Collard, Jorg Weidinger and journalist Jethro Bovingdon. The German automaker revealed a camouflaged prototype of the racer late last year and in the teaser image above and the video below, shows the M4 GT4 with its race-spec livery which incorporates the famed colors of BMW’s M division. A large wing also takes pride of place at the rear of the car. Designed as the replacement to the M3 GT4, the race-spec M4 will be evaluated by the FIA this weekend to determine how its performance will be balanced against its competitors. Audi has become the latest automaker to jump on the bandwagon of offering a GT4-spec race car and on the eve of the New York Auto Show, has unveiled the R8 LMS GT4. The new racer is directly derived from a road-going R8 V10 Coupe and includes more than 60 per cent of the same components. It will be constructed at the same Böllinger Höfe production facility as the road car and follows on from the German marque unveiling the RS3 LMS for the TCR category last year. Audi Sport is spearheading development of the model throughout the 2017 racing year and will debut the vehicle at the Nurburgring 24 Hours from May 25 to 28. Power from the naturally-aspirated V10 engine will sit at approximately 495 hp and production of customer-ordered examples will commence in the second half of the year. Ford lifted the veil off their Mustang GT4 model, a turnkey race car ready to enter any GT4 series in the world, as well an all-new data logging application in  this year’s SEMA show . The new race-prepped Mustang is based on the class-winning Shelby GT350R-C and features  a 5.2-litre V8  paired to a six-speed Holinger paddle-shift transmission.  The new Mustang-based race car features chassis mods from Multimatic Motorsports, including dampers, lower rear control arms and stabilizer bars. The Forgeline wheels measure 18x11in and are dressed with racing slicks while the new aero agenda includes a rear wing, aggressive splitter, additional hood venting and a new rear diffuser.  “The  new Mustang  is a global vehicle,” says Mark Rushbrook, motorsports engineering manager, Ford Performance. “Now, its growing fan base has a GT4 competition model to race and support around the globe.” Ford also took the opportunity and revealed their new data logging app...
