First Lamborghini Centenario Delivered to UAE Sheikh

Image
It has been a long wait but the first Lamborghini Centenario has finally been delivered. The lucky first recipient of the highly limited Italian supercar is a Sheikh from the United Arab Emirates. The first Centenario to be delivered is one of the 20 coupés finished in an interesting shade of orange. In addition to the 20 coupés, 20 more convertibles will soon find their way to their respective owners, bringing the total production of the supercar to just 40 vehicles. The Centenario was revealed at last year’s Geneva Motor Show and packs a naturally aspirated V12 that is good for 770 hp and 690 Nm of torque. This translates to impressive performance on road, shifting through a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 2.8 seconds. The speedometer will keep on running well beyond 350 km/h for those who get the opportunity. The highly limited Lambo was called to life in honor of the 100th anniversary of the brand’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. GTSpirit

770 HP Lamborghini Centenario Roadster Is All Muscle, All Carbon, All Sold-Out

Image
The official line is that the  Centenario Roadster  is yet another celebration of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s centenary, hence the name.  With all 20 examples already sold for 2 million euro plus tax, it’s also cause for celebration on a much more pragmatic level. And that’s about the only way this word can be associated with the open-top version of the so-striking-it-looks-alien Italian special. Let’s get the  less interesting stuff out of the way. The  Centenario Roadster  comes with a high-tech infotainment system featuring with 11’-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, two optional cameras and telemetry. The  Argento Centenario  exclusive paintjob is nice, but they’ll be happy to do it your way, if you so wish. Now, we can focus on the all-carbon bodywork and tub, 770 HP V12 that makes it the most powerful road-going Lamborghini of all times and serves a 2.9-sec 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint and 350+ km/h top speed and things that actually pu...

Lamborghini Confirms Centenario Roadster Debut At The Quail

Image
Lamborghini will debut the Roadster version of the Centenario supercar at the Quail Golf Club and then bring it on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The reveal of the very limited -and very expensive- supercar will happen this Friday, August 19. Lamborghini plans to  build 40 Centenarios in total , 20 Coupes and 20 Roadsters, with a price tag close to $2 million. Each and every example was already sold out even before the Coupe’s public debut at the last Geneva Motor Show.  The  Roadster version  will of course be powered by the same 770hp V12 engine. While we don’t know what the technical differences will be between the two bodystyles, we can already guess that the topless version will be quite fast.  The coupe  is able to accelerate  from 0 to 62mph in 2.8 seconds, 0 to 186mph in 23.5 seconds and all the way up to 217mph and we expect the Roadster version to not fall much behind. Built to celebrate one century since Ferruccio Lamborghini's bir...

Lamborghini Centenario will punch out 770 hp

Image
Lamborghini  briefly revealed the  Centenario  by releasing a  YouTube  video ahead of the official debut at the  Geneva Motor Show . While it quickly set the clip as private, the screenshot above offers the best look yet at the new hypercar. The coupe celebrates founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday. The limited-edition hypercar uses a naturally aspirated V12 with 770 horsepower and can get to 62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. The top speed is an impressive 218 miles per hour. The body and monocoque are entirely carbon fiber, and the rear wing extends at high speeds for more downforce to stick the hypercar to the road. Lambo  plans to produce a limited run of Centenarios consisting of 20 coupes and 20 roadsters. We look forward to getting more details when the limited-edition hypercar officially debuts soon.

Official Lamborghini Patents Likely Showing Centenario Special

Image
On Tuesday, the European patent office published these official images of an unnamed Lamborghini model, which is believed to be the so-called Centenario special. Made to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Italian company’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, the limited-run model that has reportedly already been sold out, will appear to the public for the first time at the  Geneva Motor Show on March 1 .  These somewhat distorted patent images suggest that the car is based on the Lamborghini Aventador featuring a uniquely designed body.  The exotic model should be powered by the  Aventador LP750-4 SV’s   6.5-liter V12, possibly tweaked to deliver more than the former’s 750PS (740hp) and 689Nm (508 lb-ft) of peak torque.  Lamborghini is no stranger lately to extremely limited-run models based on their existing cars, having introduced several specials over the past few years,  such as the Aventador J ,  Sesto Elemento  and  the Revent...
