Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet Revealed

Image
Do Rolls-Royce finally have some competition? The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet has been unveiled ahead of its official debut at Pebble Beach this week. I’m sure you will agree that it looks stunning! Its a proper, modern homage to the era of glorious custom-built vintage cabriolets. Fitting considering the platform Mercedes-Benz chose to carry out the official unveil! The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet especially lops the roof from last year’s Pebble Beach concept. It features six metres of bespoke bodywork. A classic long bonnet, long flowing design lines and a strong art deco style make it very imposing. The huge radiator grille is the first thing you notice. Its vertical struts were apparently inspired by a pinstriped suit. Narrow lights and pinstriped front air vents complement the chrome finish. The dark blue paintwork is called “nautical blue metallic” and contrasts with the chrome trim elements. The wheels are 24-inch centre-locking lightweight alloy units...

Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Is A Stylish 750 hp Electric Concept [w/Video]

Image
After numerous  teasers  and a host of  leaks , Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its luxurious 2+2 seater concept in Monterey, officially dubbed the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6. As the name of the car implies, it is almost 6 meters in length (5.7m to be precise) and provides a look at a potential second body style for the Maybach range. It also debuts a much sleeker and more stylish design than the existing Maybach sedans, incorporating slim LED headlights and taillights and a monstrous chrome-finished front grille. Unimpeded by having to follow any regulations for road use, Mercedes designers have been given free reign to make the Maybach 6 unlike any car on the market. The elongated hood immediately catches the eye as do the 24-inch wheels, inspired by those that debuted on the  IAA Concept  in September last year.  Power for the Mercedes-Maybach 6 comes courtesy of four permanent magnet synchronous electric motors each driving a single wheel. When combined wi...

New Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Surfaces Online And Looks Stunning

Image
The luxurious  Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6  concept surfaced online ahead of its official debut.  Scheduled to appear at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Mercedes couldn’t contain the enormous, 6-meter-long car anymore.  The German car maker released three teasers on social media, announcing the unveiling of the car at the prestigious event held on the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey County, California. As expected, it carries a familiar shape, adopting streamlined silhouette, similar to that of other Mercedes concepts, including the 2004 Maybach Excelero, the Vision Grand Turismo, and even  the IAA Concept .  It’s unknown (yet) what powers the behemoth, but the pictures show a long, elongated, split hood – reminiscent of the old, bespoke coachbuilds. The entire front fascia is governed by  a gaping wide chrome grille  with vertical slats, flanked by a pair of slim LED headlights.  The cabin, secluded by two gullwing doors, appears to be...

Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept Reveals Elegant Fascia In New Teaser

Image
The second teaser image of the impending Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept has been released prior to the model's debut at next weekend's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Previewed  last week  from the side, this latest image shows off the model's graceful and elegant front end of what could one day spawn a rival to the likes of the  Rolls-Royce Wraith . The front is particularly noteworthy thanks to the gaping wide chrome grille with vertical slats and of course complemented by the three-pointed star emblem on the massive hood. A pair of slim LED headlights are also visible as are a set of tiny wing mirrors which in all likelihood, use cameras rather than actual mirrors. Also visible on the front is a Maybach badge at the top of the grille. While the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand only currently builds a single model based around the S600 sedan, the German firm has previously hinted that it would expand its offerings, potentially even into the  SUV market . ...
