As promised, Ferrari has just released the first details about its world debut for the Geneva Motor Show. And its name is the F8 Tributo. It’s a really important one, too, as it replaces the 488 GTB. The latest in a long line of two-seater berlinettas pays homage both to the engine that powers it as well as the recipe that has been so successful over the years. While the F8 Tributo is the 488 GTB‘s successor, it carries on with the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. However, the powertrain sees significant improvements. It now produces 720 PS (710 hp) at 8,000 rpm and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque from 3,250 rpm, an increase of 50 PS and 10 Nm (7 lb-ft) compared to its predecessor. And while Ferrari doesn’t explicitly say it, the fact that it has the exact same specs as the 488 Pista hints that it could very well be the same engine. The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider has unexpectedly launched at Pebble Beach, offering customers all the driving thrills of the regular Pista but with the added experience of a removable hardtop. Like the 488 Pista coupe, the Pista Spider is powered by a truly brutal twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine delivering 711 hp and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. Consequently, the Pista Spider achieves the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 2.85 seconds, exactly the same as its sibling. If drivers have enough room, the car can reach 124 mph (200 km/h) from a standstill in 8 seconds, 0.4 seconds slower than the coupe and continue through to a 211 mph (340 km/h) top speed. Say hello to the Ferrari SP38, the latest one-off to come from the marque’s Special Projects division. Based on the 488 GTB, it will be delivered to its lucky owner at Villa d’Este on May 26. As you’ll immediately notice, the body of the SP38 is totally bespoke and a dramatic departure from the 488. In fact, the exterior design of the supercar is so radical that it looks more like a concept car than a road-going model. Up front, the SP38 includes a set of small, horizontal headlights that complement an aggressive front fascia with painted and carbon fiber components. Elsewhere, the vehicle’s sides include dramatic skirts, a sharp roofline, and small side windows. Star-shaped wheels finished in silver top things off. After a leak which uncovered Ferrari’s most eagerly-anticipated model a little early, the Italian marque has just debuted the hardcore Ferrari 488 Pista online. Previously known as the 488 GTO, the Pista follows in the footsteps of the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia, and 458 Speciale. It promises to turn the already formidable 488 into the best vehicle in its class and snatch the performance crown away from the McLaren 720S. Sitting at the heart of the 488 Pista is a modified 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that pumps out 711 hp, making it the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history. Torque now sits at 568 lb-ft, 7 lb-ft more than the standard 488. The results of these figures are some pretty exciting performance figures. It is no secret that Ferrari is working on a hardcore variant of the 488 GTB and now an image has surfaced online that appears to show the supercar without any camouflage. This photo, initially published by Motor.es, depicts two track-focused 488s in a garage, one of which wears white plastic over its revised body panels while the front-end of the second prototype has been left exposed. Compared to the current 488, the mid-engine supercar has received a revised front fascia that includes a different bumper with larger air intakes and some black trim. The headlights have also been blacked-out to increase the vehicle’s aggressiveness. According to some sources, the car will be dubbed the Ferrari 488 GTO but we’re not convinced. The ‘GTO’ badge has only been used three times in the history of Ferrari production cars and even the Ferrari F12tdf wasn’t considered special enough to receive the honor. After launching the new DB11, Aston Martin are now looking to go deep into Ferrari and Lamborghini territory with a mid-engined supercar that will challenge the likes of the 488 and Huracan. Confirmed to AutoExpress by the brand's chief, Andy Palmer, it's part of the automaker's strategy that will eventually see the launch of seven new vehicles in as many years. "We have one car every year, for the next seven years. It starts with our GT cars: DB11, Vantage, and Vanquish. In 2019, we'll have the DBX, then we'll have, for the sake of the argument, let's call it a [Ferrari] 488 competitor, then we have Lagonda, which is Lagonda One and Lagonda Two. As difficult as it may be for most of us to fathom, there are those who wouldn't find the “standard” Ferrari 488 sufficient. Fortunately there are tuners out there offering upgrades to take it even further. The latest comes from Novitec Rosso, which has revealed a limited edition tuning package for the twin-turbo Prancing Horse. The latest Novitec N-Largo offers a full wide-body conversion with aerodynamic enhancements made entirely out of carbon fiber. With new fenders, wheel arches, enlarged vents, bumpers, and spoilers, the 488 comes out five and a half inches wider than stock. Filling those beefed-up wheel arches are a set of 22-inch NF6 NL alloys, fitted to a suspension dropped over an inch closer to the tarmac, with a hydraulic lift system to help it clear curbs and speed bumps. Ferrari have managed to keep  their latest project  a secret, up until its official presentation held at the National Art Center in Tokyo. Built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ferrari in Japan, the  supercar , which will be produced in just 10 examples, is based on the 488 Spider and was created by the Special Projects department and  Ferrari Styling Center  team in Maranello.  It  "marks a return to the targa body style evocative of several well-loved Ferrari road cars of the 1970s and 1980s ", as the automaker explains, meaning that unlike the  488 Spider , which uses a folding metal roof, the J50 has a pair of carbon fiber targa panels that stow behind the rear seats.  Additionally , Ferrari has went for the 1950s look with a "helmet visor" effect, which sees the sleek windscreen wrap around the cabin.  But these aren’t the only differences between the  two exotic vehicles , as the latest Prancing Horse has also adop...
