Audi is displaying no less than four new plug-in hybrid models at the Geneva Motor Show, namely the Audi A6L 55 TFSIe Quattro, A7 55 TFSIe Quattro, A8L 60 TFSIe Quattro, and the Q5 55 TFSIe Quattro. The quartet are confusingly named, but they do represent some of the most enticing variants of each respective model. Powering the Audi A6L 55 TFSIe Quattro, A7 55 TFSIe Quattro, and Q5 55 TFSIe Quattro are powertrains outputting 363 hp and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. Lesser ’50 TFSIe’ models will also be offered for the A6, A7, and Q5. These models have 295 hp and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of twisting force. All models use a 14.1 kWh battery and have an all-electric range of 24.8 miles (40 km). Audi has unveiled plug-in hybrid versions of the Q5, A6, A7, and A8 prior to next month’s Geneva Motor Show. Starting with the most expensive ride of the bunch, we have the Audi A8 L 60 TFSI e quattro. This model is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 that’s paired with a synchronous electric motor, a 14.1 kWh battery pack and an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. It delivers 443 hp and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm) and can run for 24.8 miles (40 km) on all-electric power. While the A8 enjoys a powertrain with well over 400 hp, the Audi Q5 50 TFSI e ‘comfort’, A6 TFSI 50 e ‘comfort’, and A7 50 TFSI e ‘comfort’ deliver 295 hp and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) in standard guise. Finally, after years of testing, months of teasers and days of eager anticipation, the all-new Audi A8 has officially premiered at the Audi Summit in Barcelona, Spain. As we previously learnt, the new A8 will make use of a 48-volt electrical system and therefore adopts a number of advanced technologies, including a fully active, electromechanical suspension system and is said to be the first car on the market that offers level 3 autonomous driving. The aforementioned suspension system works thanks to an electric motor on each wheel and incorporates a rotary tube and an internal titanium torsion bar and lever that can apply up to 1,100 Nm (811.3 lb-ft) of torque on the suspension courtesy of a coupling rod. This system then works in conjunction with the luxury sedan’s front camera which detects bumpers and allows the suspension to automatically adjust to offer the smoothest ride possible. With the Audi Summit less than a week away in sunny Barcelona, the German automaker has decided to shine more light on its upcoming A8 flagship. Unlike with most luxury cars in this segment, Audi haven't exactly done a great job at keeping the A8 away from the spotlight. Naturally, it's all by design since the car is already on its way to becoming a movie star. In case you haven't heard already, the all-new Audi A8 is featured in Marvel's latest blockbuster movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and has already been teased heavily in multiple official videos. In 2014, Audi offered the world a glimpse at its new design language with the stunning Prologue Concept. Created by Audi design chief Marc Lichte, the Prologue was actually designed and created after styling work had already been completed on the next-generation A6, A7 and A8. Fast forward two and a half years and we now have our first chance to see the designs that influenced the Prologue. During an interview with French publication L'argus, Lichte displayed the front-end designs of the new A6, A7 and A8 and as we expected, they all look very similar and are clearly reminiscent of the Prologue. Starting with the new A8, it will fittingly have the largest front grille of the three while closely resembling the look of the existing model - though more menacing and refined. It's been a big week for  Audi A8  news. First tech boss Dr. Stefan Knirsch hinted at  a range-topping rival  to the Mercedes-Maybach S600, and just yesterday CEO Rupert Stadler confirmed that the next-gen car would be  the first Audi with autonomous driving systems . Now we have our first pictures of the new large sedan, which will be based on the  VW  Group's MSB platform. As expected, the 2018  A8  will take cues directly from the  Audi Prologue concept , a large coupe that was first shown at the  2015 LA Auto Show . This new A8 is completely devoid of cladding, giving us a great look at its production-ready shape. We can see the  Q7 's strong influence on the design, especially in front. The fascia is home to a wide hexagonal grille and aggressively canted headlights. The taillights will likely be a similar shape to the Q7's, but the LED pattern is dramatically different – we can almost see individual elements on this A8...
