The Geneva Motor Show wouldn’t be the Geneva Motor Show if it didn’t have some new European automaker promising the world with a new hypercar. And this year it’ll be Corbellati’s turn. Corbe-who-now, you ask? Corbellati. And no, we haven’t heard of them, either. But they’re shooting for the moon. Building upon a decades-old fine art and jewelry business, the family is now preparing to unveil the Corbellati Missile. The design is highly evocative of classic mid-engined Italian sports cars like the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale and Ferrari 330 P4, with a low-slung and rounded form. But its spec sheet is the stuff of pure fantasy. The parameters boast of a 9.0-liter twin-turbo V8, with an aluminum-alloy block, four valves per cylinder, a four overhead camshafts. It targets an output of 1,800 horsepower – all of it channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed transaxle and a limited slip differential. If Ducati, as has often been said, is to the motorcycle business what Ferrari is to automobiles, we shouldn't be the least bit surprised to find the famed Italian motorcycle manufacturer taking another page out of the Ferrari playbook by opening its own theme park. Ducati World is set to open in 2019 within the Mirabilandia theme park in the same Emilia-Romagna region of Italy that Ducati calls home. The 8.6-acre facility will encompass Ducati-themed roller coasters, virtual reality simulators, showrooms, restaurants, and (of course) shops where visitors will be able to buy Ducati merchandise. “Ducati World will give visitors a chance to live an exciting journey inside the Ducati brand”, said Ducati's licensing director Alessandro Cicognani. “Thanks to this agreement, together with Parques Reunidos we’re developing the first motorcycle themed area in an Italian amusement park. The FV-Frangivento Asfanè is 4.6 meters (15 ft) long, 2.05 meters (6.7 ft) wide and stands just 1.15 meters (3.7 ft) high, featuring a hand-cut aluminum body and a hypothetical all-electric power output of 660 kW, roughly 900 PS. Spotted in Monaco recently by Autogespot user Jasper1, this particular car, unlike the concept that debuted in Bologna last year, looks very much road-legal, with a pair of wing mirrors on each side and a windscreen you can actually see through, not to mention the new color scheme. It's possible that this is the first or one of the first customer cars, hence the California plates. Then again, details remain scarce so at this point we're just speculating. ATS Automobili revealed its new GT supercar during the Salon Prive in the UK. 53 years after the company stopped producing road cars, ATS returns with a very limited supercar called simply the GT. The relaunched company says they will make just 12 units of their new creation, each reportedly priced at $1,150,000. Built on a carbon tub, the new ATS GT is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Although the company doesn’t reveal who supplied the powertrain, it’s not that hard to connect the dots just by observing the pictures. The twin-turbo V8 is producing 650hp as standard, with ATS offering an optional upgrade to 700hp. Combined with a dry weight of 1,300kg (2,866lbs), the ATS GT hits 60mph from a standstill in 3 seconds flat while 120mph arrive in 9.9 seconds. Top speed is more than 206mph. Automobili Turismo e Sport, or ATS, is an Italian sports car manufacturer founded in 1962 by a team of former Ferrari F1 technicians now looking to bring their know-how into the 21st century. And they will do so with an entirely new product, called GT, which will show its fangs during the 2017 Salon Prive, starting with August 31, at the Blenheim Palace, in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. To mark the occasion of building a new road-legal vehicle more than 50 years after the Italian company renounced this idea, a preview image has been released showing the brand's logo, on top of a sketch that provides us with our first look at the upcoming exotic car. Not much is known about the new ATS GT so far, except that it's powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A team of Italian Tesla owners have established a new “hypermilling” record, driving a Model S 100D 1078 kilometers (about 670 miles) on a single charge. The record beats one that set by a Model S P100D that drove 560 miles on a single charge in Belgium in June 2017. Hypermiling is a technique used to conserve gas (or in this case, electricity) which involves driving at a low, consistent speed with minimal use of the vehicle’s brakes. Following word of the June record, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter that hitting 1000 km on a single charge should be possible. The company’s official club in Italy, Tesla Owners Club Italia, took up the challenge. They used a normal production vehicle outfitted with low rolling resistance tires with the air conditioning turned off. Five drivers completed the task in southern Italy in 29 hours, and noted that the drive was made easier with the car’s autopilot turned on, which “helped us keep a constant speed in the middle of the lane.” Followi...

Another day, another proposed hypercar has been teased. This time, the vehicle comes from the home of the supercar, Italy, and a company dubbed Calafiore Cars. Set to be unveiled on April 20 at Top Marques Monaco, the Calafiore C10 has apparently been seven years in the making and is finally ready for production. Underpinning the C10 will be a lightweight carbon fiber chassis and to ensure it is as light as possible, titanium will also be implemented throughout its construction. As with most new and upcoming hypercars, a four-digit horsepower figure is being targeted, namely a minimum of 1,000 hp. Teaser images of the C10 reveal that it will adopt an incredibly low-slung body and be mid-engined. They’ll be wing mirrors sticking out of the front wheel arches, a large set of wheels, bold rear diffuser and a very short hood.
