Volkswagen has released the first sketch of an all-new pickup concept which will debut at the São Paulo Motor Show on November 6th. Being billed as an “extraordinary pickup,” the unnamed model promises to combine the best attributes of trucks and SUVs. The company didn’t go into specifics, but said the concept will have an innovative “multivariable loading area” which can be extended by folding the rear panel of the truck’s cab. That’s pretty vague, but it sounds like the concept have a removable rear bed wall that’s similar to the one used on the old Chevrolet Avalanche. The truck is an “urban-oriented vehicle” and this suggests the model will be a lifestyle pickup. It will be based on the MQB platform and feature all-wheel drive. The automaker also confirmed the model will be positioned beneath the Amarok. Brazil legend Kaka has announced his retirement from football, ending speculation over his future following his exit from MLS side Orlando City earlier in 2017. The star playmaker took to Twitter and Instagram Sunday to post his goodbye to the sport. Kaka, 35, brings to an end an impressive career spanning from 2001 to 2017, and saw him win a World Cup with Brazil, Serie A and Champions League titles with A.C. Milan. In addition he won the Ballon d'Or in 2007 — the last person other than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi to take home the award. Kaka got his start with Brazilian giants Sao Paulo, before moving to Milan in 2003. There he emerged as one of the world's best and helped the club to a Serie A title in 2003-04, a Champions League final appearance in 2004-05 and finally the European crown itself in 2006-07. With its dual headquarters in America and Europe, it'd be all too easy to forget that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles competes in other markets around the world. Like in South America, for example, where it is now rolling out an all-new model. Called the Argo (and not to be confused with the Toyota Aygo), the little hatchback takes a decidedly different approach from the Fiat 500 – more along the lines of the budget-oriented Tipo it produces in Turkey. Fiat hasn't revealed much in the way of details to go with these two images and manufacturing video. But Motor1 reports that it will replace both the Punto and the Palio in the Brazilian market, and come with an array of engine choices ranging from 1.0 to 1.8 liters, with manual and automatic transmissions, and capable of running (as so many vehicles are in Brazil) on either gasoline or ethanol. Volkswagen have been looking at launching a budget brand in emerging markets since 2012, and after prolonged talks, an official decision has been finally taken. Confirmed to AutoExpress by the company's bosses, the sub-brand will launch in China at first in two years' time and after a settling-in period, it will probably become available in India, Brazil and Mexico as well. Volkswagen's local joint-venture partner, FAW, will give a helping hand in the development and production of the first cars which are expected to be a small saloon and a midsized SUV. Both vehicles are said to make use of the PQ chassis architecture of the Golf Mk6, along with some components coming from the MQB platform. "It won't be off MQB. Honda has just released a design sketch of a new sub-compact SUV coined the WR-V. What does that stand for? Well, it's an acronym for 'Winsome Runabout Vehicle' and the Japanese marque has developed the model for the South American market, particularly  Brazil , and believes it will prove popular among those who enjoy active lifestyles and the practicalities offered by small SUVs. The model will debut at next month's Sao Paolo International Motor Show 2016 and when it hits showrooms, it will  slot below the HR-V  in the carmaker's South American line-up. From a design standpoint, some similarities to the  HR-V  are clear, such as the prominent body crease running horizontal along the doors. Compared to Honda's other SUV models however, the WR-V adopts a more outlandish design, particularly its bold front fascia that includes aggressive lines, sharp headlights and a relatively small grille.
