This is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, introduced to give the established market of mid-engined, droptop supercars something new to worry about. The unveiling of the 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible comes just two-and-a-half months after the premiere of the Coupe and shows that Chevrolet is taking this whole mid-engined business very seriously. Production of the convertible will commence in the first-quarter of 2020 and be sold in both left- and right-hand drive configurations. Prices will start at $7500 more than the entry-level 1LT Stingray coupe. Chevrolet says the new ‘Vette “was engineered first and foremost as a convertible” meaning it retains the coupe’s tunnel-dominant structure and high-integrity die-cast parts. Perhaps most impressive about the new Corvette Stingray Convertible is its packaging. As the folding hardtop stows seamlessly into the body, the car maintains the coupe’s ability to store two sets of golf clubs in the trunk. “Our goal f...

Spyker C8 Preliator arrives in Geneva with 525-hp Audi power

Image
After yesterday’s sneak preview, the Spyker C8 Preliator has officially made its debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Dutch specialty marque Spyker has risen from its own ashes for this year’s Geneva show where the company has on display the C8 Preliator. Acting as a successor for the C8 Aileron, the new model has received an evolutionary design and comes with NACA ducts as seen in the aviation industry. Spyker has removed the shark-like gills to create a cleaner appearance while the grille has a honeycomb mesh and a central pillar in the same vein as the 2013 B6 Venator concept. Spyker worked on the rear diffuser to boost its aerodynamic efficiency that has also been enhanced by the small winglets mounted on the side skirts and front splitter. The back of the car hosts CNC-machined stainless steel LED taillights and these light-emitting diodes are also found in all of the other lighting clusters. Featuring an all-aluminum space frame chassis, the C8 Preliator is po...

Sneak Peek Of New Spyker C8 Preliator Reveals A Familiar Face

Image
This is our first look on the new Spyker C8 Preliator, the new sports car that will supposedly lead the Dutch sports car maker into a new era.  Spyker is getting ready to reveal their new creation,  called the C8 Preliator , marking the company’s return into regular, albeit limited, production. Posted on Instagram by  @exoticsrally , the image shows the car being prepped for its Geneva Motor Show debut, revealing the brand’s characteristic front-end treatment, with a big front grille sitting under a set of new headlights and a bonnet full of aero intakes. The Dutch sports car maker has been trying to restart production for some years now, with cars like the  B6 Venator  and the D12 Peking SUV never actually making into it. Let’s hope that this time, Spyker will be able to pull it off. There is a rumor also that  the new C8 Preliator  will be an all-electric model. All we have to do is wait until tomorrow for the official announcement.
