The all-new Toyota GR Supra was only introduced for the 2020 model year but the Japanese automaker has gone ahead and made big updates for 2021. No doubt, the big news for the 2021 Toyota GR Supra is the introduction of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, the nameplate’s first-ever four-pot. As expected, it’s also sourced from BMW and it delivers 255 HP at 5,000-6,500 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque from 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. Bridging the gap between the Toyota 86 and the Supra 3.0, the 2021 GR Supra 2.0 base model is far from a slouch. Hooked to the same eight-speed auto as the six-cylinder model, the Supra 2.0 is projected to do 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 5.0 seconds and reach an electronically limited top track speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Following several test prototype sightings and no teasers whatsoever, Ford has lifted the veil off its all-new Focus ST hot hatch. Just like its predecessor, the new Focus ST is available with two engine and two body style flavors. The big news is the gasoline version ditches the 2.0-liter turbo-four for a larger, more powerful 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit that makes 280 PS (276 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque from 3,000 rpm to 4,000 rpm. That’s 12 percent more power and 17 percent more torque compared with the previous Focus ST’s 2.0-liter gasoline unit. According to Ford, that results in a 0‑100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint of under 6 seconds. The new Toyota Supra will be offered with two different powertrains, with base versions to get a four-cylinder turbo engine in addition to the six-cylinder we already know of. After discovering a document from German transmission manufacturer ZF that showed that the A90 Supra will be powered by not one but two engine options, Road & Track got a confirmation from none other than Supra chief engineer Tetsuya Tada that this is indeed happening. The document revealed that the lowered-powered version of the 2019 Toyota A90 Supra will use the BMW-sourced turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder B48B20 engine producing 262hp. The six-cylinder version is packing the single-turbo 3.0-liter B58B30 unit with 335hp. Meet the very first four-cylinder engine in the history of the Silverado nameplate, which for 2019, comes with six total engine/transmission combinations. The all-new 310 HP 2.7-liter turbo petrol replaces the 4.3-liter V6 as the standard power unit on LT and new RST specs. It’s said to offer 22% more torque and better fuel economy. Mercedes is rolling out a series of new features, and they're starting under the hood of the E-Class coupe and convertible. While the revisions to the mid-range two-door models include new paint finishes, trim, and interior equipment, the big news here is the arrival of a cutting-edge new engine. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the new E350 coupe and cabrio border on hybrid thanks to their new 48-volt electrical system. The EQ Boost starter/alternator helps with ignition, low-end acceleration, coasting, brakeforce energy recuperation, and altogether running smoothly. Buying a Jaguar F-Type has, since its launch in 2013, been a matter choosing between six cylinders or eight. But now the British automaker has rolled out a new, more economical option. Jaguar today confirmed that it's slotting one of its four-cylinder Ingenium engines into the F-Type, offering not only improved fuel economy and lower cost of entry, but a lighter package with better balance as well. The Ingenium range of inline fours is, broadly speaking, offered in gasoline and diesel versions, with outputs ranging from 150 metric horsepower up to 300. Jaguar has naturally chosen the most powerful version for its sportiest model, the 2.0-liter turbo four good for 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The Stuttgart-based manufacturer's storm of four-pot mills hasn’t stopped with the  "new" 718 Boxster  roadster. The new, entry model of the  Macan  uses a 2-liter, direct-injected, petrol unit, which operates with up to two bar of boost pressure, producing 252 PS (248 HP) from 5,000 to 6,800 rpm and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque between 1,600 and 4,500 rpm.  Connected to a standard 7-speed PDK dual-clutch,  like the existing versions , it needs 6.7 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and 6.5 with the optional Sport Chrono-Package, while top speed stands at 229 km/h (142 mph).
