Maserati Road Map Shows Alfieri EV Replacing GranTurismo Flagship
FCA is looking to put past disappointments behind them as far as its Maserati brand is concerned, focusing on a future where every new model will stay true to the brand’s exclusive image. The Italian automaker will also be ditching the GranTurismo nameplate in favor of the Alfieri, a two door luxury Coupe/Cabriolet boasting a plug-in hybrid powertrain with E-AWD. Simply told, the Alfieri will be the Maserati of EV Coupes. According to Maserati, the Alfieri will be capable of speeds north of 300 km/h (186 mph), and thanks to its active aerodynamics, torque vectoring and a three motor E-AWD system, it will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 2 seconds flat.
