Maserati Road Map Shows Alfieri EV Replacing GranTurismo Flagship

FCA is looking to put past disappointments behind them as far as its Maserati brand is concerned, focusing on a future where every new model will stay true to the brand’s exclusive image. The Italian automaker will also be ditching the GranTurismo nameplate in favor of the Alfieri, a two door luxury Coupe/Cabriolet boasting a plug-in hybrid powertrain with E-AWD. Simply told, the Alfieri will be the Maserati of EV Coupes. According to Maserati, the Alfieri will be capable of speeds north of 300 km/h (186 mph), and thanks to its active aerodynamics, torque vectoring and a three motor E-AWD system, it will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 2 seconds flat. Maserati Quattroporte Gets A Minor, Stylish Update

The sixth-gen  Quattroporte  has just been subjected to a facelift, three years after its launch.  Visual differences between the 2017MY and the outgoing one are so subtle that only  Maserati aficionados  will be able to tell them apart. The revised luxury saloon comes with a revised bumper design (with matte black profile at the front and the matte black extractor at the rear), a more pointed and imposing front grille with new vertical chrome elements and slightly restyled side skirts and mirrors.  In order to improve aerodynamics, an electrically adjustable “Air Shutter” has been fitted at the front grille between the air vents and the engine’s radiator, providing optimal control for the engine’s fluid temperatures.
