Chrysler has revealed the 2021 Pacifica at the Chicago Auto Show, featuring new options and technologies, as well as an updated styling. The facelifted Chrysler Pacifica debuts with a revised front fascia that features a 3D diamond-style front grille, redesigned LED headlights and taillights, new wheel designs and an updated S Appearance package. For the 2021 model year, the new Chrysler Pacifica gains a new all-wheel drive system option, capable of transferring all available torque to the rear wheels, or whichever wheels offer the more traction, a unique feature in its class. Models equipped with Chrysler’s AWD system are also getting a rear sway bar, revised suspension tuning and an increased by 20mm ride height. The Toyota Highlander lineup is expanding as the three-row crossover is gaining an all-new and sportier XSE variant for 2021. Following in the footsteps of the Camry XSE, the Highlander features an aggressive front fascia with a revised grille and larger lower air intake. The model also has tinted lighting units and a metallic spoiler. The sporty styling touches continue further back as the crossover is equipped with exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels that feature black accents. Buyers will also find new side skirts, blacked out window trim and black mirror caps. Rounding out the highlights are black roof rails and a chromed dual exhaust system. Interior changes are limited but include ambient lighting, faux carbon fiber trim and black Softex seats with fabric inserts. In a rather surprising move, Ford has given the 2020 GT several technical and visual enhancements. We’ll start with the revised oily bits, which were inspired by the Ford GT Mk2 racer and include updated engine calibration, gallery-cooled pistons, higher-energy ignition coils and broader torque band. The result is an additional 13 horsepower added to the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, which lifts the output to 660 hp. That’s not all, because the revised GT also gets a larger intercooler and updates to the buttress air ducts that increase the air flow by 50 percent. The suspension has been updated as well in ‘Track’ mode to improve handling and body control. Furthermore, the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, which was a $10,000 option, is now offered as standard. The new 2020 Kia Cadenza will be presented in U.S.-guise at the Chicago Auto Show complete with more striking looks and a host of new features. First unveiled in South Korea in mid-2019, the facelifted Kia Cadenza features a set of new multi-lens LED headlights with redesigned LED daytime running lights, a redesigned hood, new front grille with a vertical waterfall fascia, a redesigned rear bumper and trunk lid, new LED taillights, and a different lower front fascia. Chevrolet has unveiled the facelifted 2021 Equinox at the Chicago Auto Show, with highlights including a refreshed appearance, newly available safety features and a new RS trim. Most notably, the facelifted SUV gains a redesigned front fascia featuring new, sleeker LED headlights intertwined with a bolder grille. The rear fascia is also updated and now features visible exhaust trims flanking a diffuser-like element. There are five available trim levels: L, LS, LT, Premier and the newly-added RS. Those opting for the sporty RS grade will get a gloss black grille, 19-inch Dark Android alloys, black bowtie emblems and badging, plus black side rails. The 2020 Tacoma is here, but you need to take a good look at it to spot the changes compared to the 2019 model. Toyota adopted a cautious approach when updating the styling of its mid-size truck. Basically, besides the new grille and wheel designs, smoked taillights, as well as the sequential LED headlights on the TRD Pro version, the pickup looks identical to the current model. Not that we were expecting anything radical; after all, it’s not a new model but rather a facelift for the Tacoma — after all, it’s been America’s best-selling mid-size pickup for 14 years running. Subaru has unveiled the all-new 2020 Legacy at this year’s Chicago Auto Show, and will combat the likes of the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Mazda6 with a car that’s technically superior to its predecessor. Among its highlights, we count the new XT models with a 260 HP 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer engine, an upgraded 182 HP 2.5-liter boxer, an 11.6-inch tablet-style infotainment display, higher quality interior and new active safety tech. Even though the 2020 Legacy doesn’t look all that different to its predecessor, it is actually a brand new car. For starters, it has wider fenders and a higher trunk surface for a more dynamic stance. There are also new side mirrors, in case anyone noticed. Overall, though, this new model is recognizable as a Legacy, which could be a good or a bad thing, depending on perspective and sense of style. As expected, VW has pulled the wraps off its new 2019 Jetta GLI at the Chicago Auto Show, giving us the seventh generation of the compact sport sedan since its original debut in 1984. Using the same 2.0-liter turbo inline-four engine with the VW Golf GTI, the new Jetta GLI offers 228hp and 258lb-ft of torque and a choice between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The chassis sits 0.6 inches lower than the standard Jetta, thanks to the GLI’s sports suspension that features a strut-type setup at the front and a multilink arrangement at the back. The brakes are shared with the Golf GTI and the Golf R, with 13.4-inch rotors up front. Kia has revealed the facelifted 2020 Sportage, which now features a refreshed look, making its debut at the Chicago Auto Show. The popular compact crossover now sports new front and rear fascias; the revisions include redesigned headlights with LED turn indicators, new projector-beam fog lights, new front and rear bumper design, new wheel designs, a redesigned tail light trim and more. Kia will also offer new LED headlights with LED fog lights as an option. There’s also a new midrange S Trim with sportier exterior and interior design elements offered alongside the existing LX, EX and SX variants in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Say hello to the second-generation Range Rover Evoque, arriving seven and a half years after production of the outgoing model commenced. Despite the age gap, the crossovers share an obvious resemblance. In designing the all-new 2019 Evoque, Land Rover opted against ditching the current model’s much-loved sporty design and have retained the same basic shape we’re familiar with. Viewed from the side, the new Evoque’s profile is almost identical to the original. That’s no bad thing, however. While the Evoque’s shape hasn’t changed much, it does look significantly different in its second generation. At the front, Land Rover has taken obvious design inspiration from the mid-range Velar incorporating similarly-slim headlights and a narrow front grille. In certain specifications, the 2019 Evoque has largely-identical front air intakes to its older sibling.
