Drako GTE Is A 1200 HP Electric Hyper Sedan That Promises Supercar-Like Handling
Drako Motors has unveiled their first car at The Quail. Billed as the culmination of nearly a decade of work, the GTE is an ultra-luxury sedan that is based on the old Fisker Karma. Despite this, the model is not a copycat as it features a new front end with slender headlights, a carbon fiber hood and large air intakes. The sides largely carry over, but now come with sportier side skirts and hidden door handles. Bigger changes can be found at the rear in the form of a massive diffuser and a small trunk with an integrated spoiler. Power comes from a 90 kWh battery pack that feeds no less than four electric motors, which produce a combined output of 1,200 HP (895 kW / 1,217 PS) and 6,491 lb-ft (8,800 Nm) of torque. Drako didn’t mention the car’s range or 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time, but did say that the GTE has a top speed of 206 mph (332 km/h).
