Gumpert Brings Two Of Its Innovative Hydrogen Nathalies To Geneva

Gumpert has brought a pair of Nathalie models to the Geneva Motor Show, giving the European public their first taste of the innovative sports car. The first thing to mention is that the matte orange car pictured is believed to be a near-production-spec model while the matte blue is a race car concept variant of the Nathalie. Starting with the orange Gumpert Nathalie, it looks a little different than the original purple Nathalie show car which was unveiled back in early 2018. The overall shape of the vehicle has been retained but the updated Nathalie’s rear end has been altered with the fitment of six circular taillights rather than the single LED taillight unit of the initial show car. The orange vehicle shown does retain the show car’s six additional horizontal reversing lights just underneath the taillights. Pininfarina H2 Speed Hydrogen Track Car Gets Limited Production Version

Studios like Pininfarina typically design cars (among other things) for other automakers. Like the HK GT concept, for example, revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. But once in a while, they do something on their own. Pininfarina captured our imaginations at the show two years ago when it revealed the H2 Speed concept. And now it’s putting it into production. The hydrogen-powered track car is designed (and will be built) by the famous Italian carrozzeria, with help on the powertrain side from its racing partner GreenGT. The Franco-Swiss outfit has been experimenting with clean propulsion systems for about a decade now, and its expertise will undoubtedly mesh well with Pininfarina’s track record of designing and even producing world-class supercars. Toyota Fine-Comfort Ride Concept Envisions The Hydrogen Minivan Of The Future

When we showed you the Concept-i Ride and Concept-i Walk earlier this week, we had a feeling it wouldn't be long before Toyota revealed another concept for the Toyko Motor Show. We figured it would take a bit longer than two days, but here we already have the next.Called the Fine-Comfort Ride, the new concept is hardly as dynamically named as, say, the Supra, or even the Land Cruiser. But what it lacks in nameplate allure it makes up for in innovation. The show car envisions a self-driving lounge space powered by hydrogen fuel cells and individual hub motors. It's designed around a diamond-shaped cabin layout that's widest around the passengers, tapered towards the rear, and curved around the windshield. As with so many forward-looking self-driving concepts, the cabin setup is flexible. Pininfarina H2 Speed concept proposes hydrogen race car

After publishing a teaser last month, Pininfarina and GreenGT have unleashed the H2 Speed concept which is being envisioned as a hydrogen-powered race car. The name of the concept is self-explanatory for anyone with basic knowledge of chemistry as “H2” is the chemical formula of hydrogen gas. Pininfarina has added the “Speed” suffix to denote this is a high-performance vehicle destined exclusively for track use. The sleek body comes as a result of comprehensive testing to achieve a high level of aerodynamic efficiency and also superior performance while emitting only water vapor. Pininfarina took inspiration from previous racing cars, but added a futuristic twist by coming out with a vehicle described as being halfway between a competition prototype and a production supercar. GreenGT was in charge of developing the powertrain which uses two race-spec electric motors working together with a lightweight fuel cell and a brake energy recuperation system. T...
