This is the new Bentley Bentayga Speed, the awaited performance version of an already quite powerful luxury SUV. Bentley claims that the new Bentayga Speed is the world’s new fastest SUV, featuring a top speed of 190 mph (305km/h) which is 0.5 mph quicker than what the previous record holder, the Lamborghini Urus, can achieve (189.5 mph). Power comes from an updated version of the twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine, which now offers 626hp (635PS) and 664lb-ft (900Nm) of torque. Compared to the regular Bentayga, the Speed variant offers 26hp more but the same amount of torque. 0-62mph (100km/h) is now a matter of 3.9 seconds (down from 4.1). Bentley‘s first-ever SUV, the Bentayga, arrived almost three years ago and quickly became a commercial success. While it was initially offered solely with a W12 petrol engine, the lineup was eventually extended and now includes a petrol V8, a diesel V8 and a V6 plug-in hybrid. In spite of being an SUV, Crewe intends to give the Bentayga the Speed treatment. Confirmed to Autocar by the company’s design chief, Stefan Sielaff, after hinted back in 2016, the Bentayga Speed’s design will represent a “big change”. Bentley’s exec didn’t delve into specifics, but, as the British mag states, it will feature “more power for the W12 engine” (kinda stating the obvious, but anyhow). The twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 unit currently puts out 608PS (600hp / 447kW) and 900Nm (663lb-ft) of torque, so a Lamborghini Urus-matching 650PS (641hp) seems entirely plausible. Bentley has unveiled the all-new Bentayga Hybrid, following a leak earlier. Billed as the “world’s first luxury hybrid,” the model debuts in Geneva with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine, an electric motor and an undisclosed battery pack. The company wasn’t ready to talk specifics but confirmed the model will have an electric-only range in excess of 31 miles (50 km) and CO2 emissions of 75 g/km. While Bentley was coy on details, the automaker said the battery can be replenished in as little as 2.5 hours with a high speed charger. Using a standard household outlet triples the time as it takes around 7.5 hours. As we expected, Bentley is rolling out its first plug-in hybrid in the form of the Bentayga. And while the automaker has yet to reveal the gasoline-electric crossover, the first details and photos have leaked out ahead of time. Though quickly taken down, the information briefly published by Autocar indicates that the Bentayga PHEV will incorporate the same setup as the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid. This consists of a 3.0-liter turbo V6 paired with an electric motor for a combined output of about 450 horsepower. It’ll also offer 31 miles of pure electric range, and emit just 75 grams of carbon per kilometer (according to European standards) when running both components of its powertrain. It’s estimated to take 7.5 hours to fully charge, but a quick-charger styled be renowed designer Philippe Starck will reduce that time to just 2.5 hours. With the Bentley Bentayga sure to emerge as popular among those with the means as the Continental, you can bet there'll be plenty of customers looking to make theirs their own. So tuners have been popping up left and right to offer their own take on the British sport-ute. We've seen enhancements from the likes of DMC, Startech, Lumma Design, and even Bentley's own Mulliner department. This latest comes from Mansory, which revealed its modifications for the big Flying B at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Bentley revealed the Bentayga Mulliner, the ultimate luxury version of the company’s SUV, ahead of its scheduled Geneva debut. Described as the “ultimate luxury SUV”, the new Bentley Bentayga Mulliner was created by the brand’s in-house personal commissioning division to play the role of the flagship model in the range. So if you thought that the normal Bentayga was posh enough, you better think again as Bentley thinks there’s always room for more luxury. There are now new, exclusive features which on the outside include a two-tone paintwork and unique 22in alloy wheels with floating wheel centers, exclusive badging, body-colored lower bodywork and bright chromed lower bumper grilles. The Bentayga might not sit well with a number of Bentley purists, but there are others who'll very happily line up for a Crewe-made SUV - and that crowd is exactly who Mansory is targeting with its  quite extrovert  proposition. The Bavarian brand's  take on the Bentayga  is comprehensive. Thanks to its own autoclaves that are used to “bake” carbon fiber molds, it was able to design a completely new wide-body kit. The Bentayga’s front fascia now features new carbon-fiber bits such as an integrated front lip, front grille with air scoops mounted on top and an ultra-lightweight hood. The VW Group’s embarrassing diesel scandal hasn’t deterred Bentley from creating its first ever diesel-powered vehicle based on their… first ever SUV, the Bentayga . Aptly (and some would say, very  mainstream-ly ) named the Bentagya Diesel, it shares the  related Audi SQ7’s triple-charged 4.0-liter V8 diesel  lump that exploits a pair of twin-scroll turbochargers and a so-called “e-booster” 48v electric supercharger to produce the same 435PS (429 HP) and 900Nm (664 pound-feet) of torque.  We don’t know if we should be surprised that Bentley announces the same 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time as the Audi SQ7 at 4.8 seconds, but instead of limiting the SUVs top speed at 155mph (250km/h) like the Germans, the Brits allow the Bentayga Diesel to reach a loftier 168mph (270km/h), which in turn, lets them brag about it being the “fastest diesel SUV in the world”.
