The 2018 Renault Megane RS won't be officially revealed until September's Frankfurt Motor Show but a number of patent images have just leaked online, showing off the new hot hatch in full. Published by the World Intellectual Property Organization, these images show that the new Megane RS will adopt a number of aggressive touches. According to the French marque, it aimed to combine simple and sensual shapes with elements of aggression in designing the new car. Some of the key differences between the RS and run-of-the-mill Megane models include new air intakes and an overhauled front bumper to give it the sporty feel you'd expect. At the sides, we see a bold wheel design and new air gill just behind the front wheels, shooting a sharp crease along the first half of the front doors. Infiniti recently unveiled the QX50 concept at the North American International Auto Show and now we could be getting our best glimpse of the production model. These patent images show a stylish crossover which closely mimics the aforementioned concept. Despite this, there are a handful of changes including a slightly smaller grille and a new front bumper with more restrained air intakes. The side profile remains pretty true to the concept but designers installed traditional door handles and revised side skirts. Additional changes are limited but there's a more conventional rear bumper and a new tailgate-mounted spoiler with a smaller third brake light. Infiniti hasn't said much about the model but when they introduced the QX50 concept, they strongly hinted the production crossover would use their new Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine. Ferrari applied to register the attached design with the European Union Intellectual Property Office in August last year, but it’s only today the intriguing images have been published on EUIPO’s site. Very little information is available at this point, other than the fact that we know for sure the patent belongs to Ferrari S.p.A. and the car was styled by Flavio Manzoni, none other than the company’s head of design. By the looks of it, we’re dealing with a vehicle largely based on the sold-out LaFerrari coupe, but with very different headlights featuring a thin strip of LEDs. It’s the same story at the back where the taillights are also very slim and appear to be interconnected in the middle by a body-colored piece that makes us think of the Bugatti Chiron’s horizontal light strip. Intriguing patent images have emerged online showcasing what could be the upcoming BMW i5. Recently registered by BMW in Japan, the detailed computer-generated images show a  five-door model  with styling traits eerily similar to those of the BMW i3 and i8, indicating that it could be the much-discussed third model in the marque's range of i models. At the front, the vehicle pictured includes BMW's customary kidney grille and angular, horizontal headlights baring a striking resemblance to those from the i8. From the side, the four-door layout and design reminds us of the Tesla  Model X  with the front and rear door handles combined to look like one.  The rear is also immediately identifiable as a BMW due to the similar rear quarter panels as the i3 and the familiar taillights. Volkswagen launched the Golf VII almost four years ago, so it comes as no surprise the people from Wolfsburg are readying a mid-cycle refresh. According to  AutoBlog.nl , this is it. Our Dutch colleagues managed to get their hands on several images allegedly depicting the inbound facelift for the regular hatchback and estate, as well as for the spicy GTI version. To be honest, you’d have to be a diehard Golf fan to spot the differences between the current model and the facelifted version right away. The most obvious change is noticeable at the front where Europe’s best-selling car has received a new set of headlights. Behind the sports trimmed and accessorized  5-door Civic Concept  shown at Geneva this month, lies the production-spec variant of the compact hatch and these recently emerged patent images prove it.  Yes, it appears that the road-going Civic Hatchback surfaced online before its debut, continuing the Civic family design implemented  by the coupe  and saloon variants.  Although looking much more tamed than its  show-only counterpart , it appears that the Civic Hatch will stay true to the original, sporting the same basic ingredients and lines. Sure, the big wheels are gone, and so are the side skirts and front and rear aprons, but both bumpers seem to keep the big (and possibly dummy) air vent format.
