Aston Martin has finally revealed the production version of the Valhalla, a hybrid mid-engine supercar that pairs a 4.0-liter V8 with two electric motors to give it a combined output of 937 hp (950 PS/698 kW). The British brand calls the car a huge step forward for the company and a transformational moment. Joining the growing class of hybrid supercars, the Valhalla will look to turn Aston Martin’s fortunes. The brand is quick to clarify that although the new car will be a technological marvel, putting the driver at the center of the experience between the various motors. Kicking things off is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 engine, sourced from Mercedes-AMG. Rimac Automobili has revealed the final production version of the C_Two electric hypercar, which is now renamed Nevera and features a number of upgrades over the original 2018 concept. The new Nevera fittingly bears a Croatian name given by the locals to an unexpected and powerful Mediterranean storm. Compared to the concept, the new Rimac Nevera features a wide range of changes to its bodywork and aero agenda, delivering a 34 percent improvement in aerodynamic efficiency. Rimac has altered things like the profile of the bonnet, the shape of the pillars, and the design of the diffusers, splitters, and radiators, in order to improve airflow and downforce. In addition, the redesigned inlets and cooling channels have increased the cooling efficiency by 30 percent of both the brake and powertrain systems at low speeds, and by 7 percent at high speeds. Billed as a no limits beast that is “pure, passionate, mighty and captivating,” the Huayra R is a track-only hypercar that features a new V12-R engine. Designed from the ground up, in partnership with HWA AG, the naturally aspirated 6.0-liter engine is the “lightest, most powerful and efficient track-ready V12 ever created.” It produces an impressive 838 hp (625 kW / 850 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. The engine took more than two years to design and develop, and it screams to a 9000 rpm redline. It also tips the scales at 436 lbs (198 kg) and uses a 200 bar direct injection system that optimizes “performance by ensuring maximum efficiency in terms of thermodynamics and autonomy.” The engine is paired to a new six-speed sequential transmission, which was also developed in collaboration with HWA AG. McLaren Beverly Hills has pulled the wraps off the limited edition Sabre. Created by McLaren Special Operations, the Sabre has been designed exclusively for the United States and this allowed the model to use “ideas and innovations that global homologation would not permit.” The company didn’t go into many specifics, but the car features a protruding nose and a prominent front splitter. There’s also a ventilated hood, slender headlights and unique ‘over fenders.’ Moving further back, we can see aerodynamic side skirts, a rakish windscreen and butterfly doors.  However, the Sabre is more notable for its distinctive rear cover and central fin which flows into a massive wing. Rounding out the highlights are an enormous diffuser and a center-mounted exhaust.  Designers also installed lightweight wheels which are backed up by a high-performance braking system. Designed to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary, the Venom GT successor is named after F5 tornados which have wind speeds of up to 318 mph (512 km/h). That wasn’t an arbitrary decision as it hints at the car’s targeted top speed of more than 311 mph (500 km/h). In order to hit that impressive number, the car has been equipped with a specially developed 6.6-liter V8 engine known as the Fury. It’s hand-built and features a cast iron block, aluminum cylinder heads and a dry sump lubrication system. The engine has also been equipped with two turbochargers which enable it to be the “most powerful production road car engine ever made.” In terms of raw numbers, the engine develops 1,817 hp (1,355 kW / 1,842 PS) and 1,193 lb-ft (1,617 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed semi-automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. Ferrari has revealed the new SF90 Spider, the droptop variant of the SF90 Stradale and the company’s first plug-in hybrid spider, during a special online event. As expected, the new Spider version of the Ferrari SF90 features the same heavily electrified powertrain as the fixed-roof model, meaning a combined output of 986 HP (1,000 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The astonishing power figures are a combination of a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 769 HP (780 PS) with three electric motors kicking out an additional 217 HP (220 PS). This also gives the SF90 Spider AWD, while the gearbox is the latest eight-speed dual-clutch automatic unit. Ferrari claims that the SF90 Spider is just as fast as the Stradale in the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) at 2.5 seconds. 0-124 mph (200 km/h) comes in a breathtaking 7 seconds, while top speed is set at 211 mph (340 km/h). Czinger Vehicles has uncovered the 21C hybrid hypercar ahead of its public premiere at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. The Los Angeles-based startup claims that the electrified machine is capable of jaw-dropping performance, going from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a whopping 1.9 seconds. Power comes from an in-house developed hybrid powertrain that has yet to be detailed. However, they did say that it develops a very impressive 1,250 PS (1,233 HP / 919 kW). Named “an evolutionary leap in performance vehicle creation“, the 21C has the typical super sports car styling, with bulky fenders at the front, wide hips, strong side skirts, short overhangs and big wing at the back. Japan’s fully electric and somewhat mysterious Aspark Owl hypercar has been teasing us since September of 2017. Last year, we even saw a prototype hit 62 mph (96 km/h) in 1.9 seconds, and that’s before anybody could even place an order. Now, the production-ready variant has just been unveiled in Dubai, rocking 2,012 PS (1,480 kW / 1,984 HP), roughly 2,000 Nm (1,475 lb-ft) of torque, a 0-60 time of 1.69 seconds, top speed of 400 km/h (248 mph) and a total range of 450 km (280 miles). Only 50 units of the Owl will go into production, each carrying a base price of 2,900,000 euros ($3,188,000). According to Aspark, the fully-electric Owl is not only the world’s fastest accelerating car, but also probably the lowest road legal electric hypercar in the world, at just 99 cm (38.9 inches) in height.
