Porsche has taken the wraps off their latest addition to the Cayenne Coupe line-up, introducing the new 2022 Cayenne Turbo GT.  The Turbo GT seems to have dropped the “Coupe” from its official moniker, but rest assured it’s a trim level exclusive to the Cayenne Coupe. It’s also the ranger topper for the model, slotting in above both the Turbo and the S E-Hybrid. The unveiling comes just a week ahead of the Cayenne Turbo GT’s first public outing, which will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from the 8th–11th of July. The new car promises to be the fastest-ever production Cayenne and one of the fastest SUVs on offer. The Cayenne Turbo GT retains the four-liter twin-turbo V8 that powers the Turbo Coupe, but does so with a power boost of 90 PS (67 kW/90 HP), giving it a total of 640 PS (471 kW/631 hp). Porsche has introduced the new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe. Set to arrive in the United States early next year, the models have a plug-in hybrid powertrain that features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 541 hp (403 kW / 548 PS). It’s backed up by an electric motor that develops an additional 134 hp (100 kW / 136 PS). This enables the crossovers to have a combined output of 670 hp (550 kW / 679 PS) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The electric motor is powered by a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery and is sandwiched between the V8 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This setup enables the two motors to work together or independently. When the electric motor is doing all the work, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid can travel up to 24.8 miles (40 km) on electricity alone. In terms of performance, the crossovers can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.6 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h). ...

The third-generation Porsche Cayenne family is extending its arms to welcome a brand new version to the table, featuring a sloped roof line and an overall sporty design. This is the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe. Highlights include sharper lines than the regular model, a rear end design that the automaker describes as being unique, an adaptive rear spoiler and either a panoramic fixed glass roof (fitted as standard) or an optional carbon fiber one. “The Coupe includes all the technical highlights of the current Cayenne, but has an even more dynamic design and new technical details that position it as more progressive, athletic, and emotional,” said Porsche chairman Oliver Blume. Porsche’s plug-in hybrid lineup has proven popular with consumers and that success will likely continue in the future as the company has unveiled the 2019 Cayenne E-Hybrid. Set to go on sale in the United States early next year, the Cayenne E-Hybrid has a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 335 hp (249 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. The model also has a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which powers an electric motor that develops 134 hp (100 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Thanks to this setup, the crossover has a combined maximum output of 455 hp (339 kW). In terms of performance, the Cayenne E-Hybrid can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 157 mph (252 km/h). Compared to the previous Cayenne S E-Hybrid, these are improvements of 0.7 seconds and 6 mph (9 km/h). Porsche has uncovered the most extreme version of the new generation Cayenne yet, which bears the Turbo moniker. It uses the brand's 4-liter V8 biturbo engine that feeds 550PS (542hp) and 770Nm (568lb-ft) of torque to the wheels, through a new 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo is 30PS (30hp) and 20Nm (15lb-ft) of torque more powerful than its predecessor, and it takes 4.1 seconds to reach 100km/h (62mph) from a standstill, or just 3.9 seconds, when fitted with the optional Sport Chrono Package. Top speed stands at 286km/h (178mph). Porsche has officially unveiled the 2018 Cayenne ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Looking instantly recognizable, the redesigned crossover has an evolutionary front fascia with larger air intakes and new LED headlights. The familiar styling continues further back but Porsche says the Cayenne has a lower roofline which helps to give it a more athletic stance. Other notable changes include larger alloy wheels and new taillights that echo those of the Panamera Sport Turismo. Bigger changes occur in the cabin as drivers will find a new center console which has a mix of analogue and digital controls. A more noticeable feature is the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system which has internet connectivity. Once seated behind the three spoke steering wheel, drivers will found a new instrument cluster with an analogue tachometer that is flanked by two 7-inch displays.
