Premiering alongside the updated 2021 BMW 5-Series is this; the 2021 BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo. It benefits from similar design changes to the 5-Series and while it isn’t sold in the U.S. and has now been killed off in the UK. Set to be manufactured at BMW’s plant in Dingolfing alongside the 7-Series and 8-Series, the new 6-Series Gran Turismo retains the same dimensions as the current model, meaning it is 5,091 mm (200.4 inches) long, 1,902 mm (74.8 inches) wide, and 1,538 mm (60.5 inches) tall. It also retains a 3,070 mm (120.8 inch) wheelbase. Located at the front end is a slightly enlarged kidney grille complemented by standard full-LED headlights that include an adaptive cornering function and the BMW Selective Beam non-dazzling high-beam assistant with matrix technology. Lamborghini has delved deeper into the world of Gran Turismo Sport with the new Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo Concept. Unveiled in real-life form in Monte Carlo, ahead of the 2019 FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships World Finals, it was created by the automaker’s Centro Stile and will launch in the popular video game next spring. “Lamborghini is a very young brand, and this is why we are here today, to present our newest vision in the form of a real model, with a highly futuristic and cool design to be enjoyed by the young generation of racing game and super sports car enthusiasts”, said CEO Stefano Domenicali. Vision Gran Turismo concepts often take on proportions of the outlandish: Le Mans prototypes, almost, without any regulations or practical considerations to take into account. Honda, however, has taken a different approach. The Japanese automaker today released its latest contribution to the pantheon of digital sports-car concepts in the form of the Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo. And while it may not be quite ready for the showroom, it looks a lot closer than most of its virtual-reality stablemates. Milanese coachbuilder Zagato has unveiled the IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, a car that anyone can drive as long as they have a PlayStation. This new Zagato model is available in Gran Turismo Sport on PS4, boasting an overall theme that combines sleek Italian aesthetics with the brawn of American powertrains. "The IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo was created to drive in the virtual-reality world, a world created by Gran Turismo. There is no mass in the virtual-reality world, as it remains a place that exists only in our imagination," said Zagato VP of design, Norihiko Harada. BMW has pulled the wraps off the new 6-Series Gran Turismo. Set to replace the 5-Series GT, the 6-Series GT is a major improvement as designers have managed to address the key styling criticisms leveled against its predecessor. In order to accomplish this, the team stretched the car to measure 5,091mm (16.7 feet) long and reduced its height by 21mm (0.8 inches). The tailgate was also redesigned so it now sits 64mm (2.5 inches) lower than on the 5-Series GT. Besides the new dimensions, the car has been equipped with a larger grille that is flanked by standard LED headlights. Other highlights include frameless windows, front fender vents, and wraparound taillights with three-dimensional styling elements.
