General Motors has used its Capital Markets Day event to quietly tease an all-new crossover from Chevrolet. Looking like a baby Blazer, the model has a slender grille which resides above a massive air intake. On either side are slim headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. Moving further back, the model has distinctive front fenders which feature the same ‘recessed curve’ design as the 2019 Silverado. The crossover also has upward sweeping shoulder line which is mimics its dynamic greenhouse. Other notable styling features include a sloping roof and slender mirror caps. While GM didn’t mention what vehicle was teased, it appears to be the 2020 Chevrolet Trax. A heavy camouflaged prototype was spotted last spring and it appears the production model will be even more aggressive than expected. Mere hours after Nissan introduced its  Midnight Edition package  to six models, Chevrolet has announced that it will introduce the Redline special edition series to no less than nine of its models. Chevrolet first debuted its Redline series at the  SEMA Show in 2015  and will now roll it out for the Cruze LT,  Malibu  LT, Camaro SS and LT, Trax LT, Equinox LT, Traverse Premier, Colorado LT, Silverado Double Cab LT Z71 and Silverado Crew Cab LTZ Z71. All models in the Redline series come equipped with black wheels featuring red accents, blacked-out grilles, black badges and black Chevrolet bowtie logos. From here, the individual models start to differ depending on the preferences of customers. For example, the Camaro Redline incorporates black vinyl above the front wheels while the Silverado and Colorado feature red tow hooks. Chevy has brought three customized show trucks to SEMA this year. Each is made to drive through sand (like the Nevada desert surrounding Las Vegas where the show is held), but each takes a different starting point and a different approach. The smallest of the trio is the  Trax  Active concept. Based on GM's tiniest crossover, the show truck has been prepped for the dunes with a lifted suspension and wider track, fitted with 18-inch wheels and all-terrain rubber. The front and rear bumpers have also been reprofiled to improve the vehicle's approach and departure angles, while a Thule roof rack gives it more cargo capacity and a place to mount the LED auxiliary light bar. The whole thing is painted in a suitably marshal shade of matte beige, with carbon trim, red tow hooks, and a jet-black interior. Too small?
